Cassadee Pope and Rian Dawson call off engagement
Country singer Cassadee Pope has called it quits with her fiance, All Time Low drummer Rian Dawson.
The musicians became engaged earlier this year (17) after almost seven years of dating, but the stars have since decided to go their separate ways.
"They have amicably ended their relationship, but remain friends, supportive of each others' careers, and maintain the utmost respect for one another," a representative for the former couple tells Nashville Gab.
The pair first met in 2009, when Cassadee's then-group, Hey Monday, joined Rian's All Time Low on tour, and they soon became romantically involved.
The rocker popped the question to Cassadee, who shot to fame after winning season three of U.S. reality show The Voice, in February (17), and the bride-to-be wasted no time in breaking the news to fans on Instagram.
Posting a snap of her diamond ring, she added the caption: "WE'RE ENGAGED," along with a string of heart emojis.
Rian also shared the happy news with fans on his Instagram profile.
"The love of my life is now OFFICIALLY the love of my life," he wrote beside the same image. "Never been happier."
It's not known when the couple decided to break up, but Cassadee, 27, hasn't shared any photos of Rian, 29, on her social media pages since April (17), when they spent some quality time together before they each had to hit the road on tour.
"Gettin (sic) in that date time before we tour our separate ways," she captioned a picture of the pair.
