Carrie Underwood to tennage fans: 'Listen to your mum'

Country star Carrie Underwood has urged her teenage fans to listen to their mothers when it comes to looking after their skin.

The Before He Cheats singer admits she wishes she had taken her mum's advice when she was growing up - because her skin would be better if she had.

She tells People magazine, "If I could go back and talk to my 15-year-old self I'd be like, 'Seriously, listen to your mom... Drink more water, put more sunscreen on, moisturise.' There are a lot of people like me who wish they did more."

The new face of cosmetics giant Olay, Underwood admits it's really simple to take care of your skin: "It doesn't have to be complicated... I don't have space in my luggage for 20 things that do different things for my skin."
