Cara Delevingne creates capsule collection for DKNY
British supermodel Cara Delevingne has added fashion designer to her resume by teaming up with DKNY for her first capsule collection.
The runway beauty has created 15 pieces for the limited edition unisex line, which will feature beanie hats, tank tops, T-shirts and a leather bomber jacket.
She tells Women's Wear Daily, "They always encouraged my design
input, my personal style and my ideas from the very beginning of
our working relationship.
"DKNY is urban and edgy but, most of all, it's individual. They
truly embrace the weirdness in all of us, so you can really be
yourself."
The capsule collection will hit retailers in October (14), with
prices ranging from $70 to $735 for the leather jacket.
Delevingne is also urging aspiring models to get in touch for the
chance to appear alongside her in a photoshoot to promote the new
range.
Announcing the casting call on Instagram.com, she writes, "Guys!
So, I created a sick special-edition collection with
@donnakarandkny coming later this year, and I WANT YOU to be in the
campaign with me! I'm CASTING for a few lucky fans to come to New
York City and model my new #DKNY collection in a special photo
shoot with me."
