Brooklyn Beckham gets first tattoo

Brooklyn Beckham has debuted his very first tattoo on social media.

The 18-year-old son of former soccer player David Beckham and fashion designer Victoria Beckham shared a series of photos on his Instagram page on Saturday (01Apr17), showing him getting inked at the Shamrock Social Club tattoo parlor in Hollywood.

Brooklyn opted to have a Native American-inspired design etched onto his forearm, with the tattoo appearing similar to an image David has inked on his torso.

And for Brooklyn's introduction to tattoo art, David took him to a trusted artist, Mark Mahoney. Mark has also tattooed the likes of Lana Del Rey, Johnny Depp and Jared Leto in the past.

"Thank you so much Mark x just like dads (sic)," wrote Brooklyn alongside of a snap of him being tattooed by Mark on Instagram.

He then added a close-up image of the artwork being added and captioned the photo: 'Honoured to have my first tattoo done by dads friend Mark Mahoney (sic)."

Brooklyn's decision to get a tattoo comes as he gets ready for a new stage of his life, with it recently confirmed that he has signed up to begin studying photography at the Parsons School of Design in New York City in September.

Though his mother Victoria recently revealed that while she was very "proud" of her son for pursuing his dreams, she was going to find it difficult being away from him for periods of time.

"Me and Brooklyn are very, very close, we're a very close family, and I'm just so proud of him and everything he's achieving, he wants to be a photographer, he's so passionate about what he does, he's got a great eye, he's very focused and passionate, and I'm just really proud," she said during an appearance on The Late Late Show with James Corden.
