Brook's miscarriage hell offers hope to other women
British actress/model Kelly Brook has become a shoulder to cry on for women who have suffered miscarriages after she told of her baby heartache last year (11).
The Piranha 3D star was due to become a first-time mother with her boyfriend, retired rugby ace Thom Evans, but Brook announced in May (11) she had miscarried the child five months into her pregnancy.
Brook's openness prompted an outpouring of well wishes and now
she's become a support for others who have lost their unborn
babies.
She tells Britain's Glamour magazine, "I found that women
approached me and wanted to talk about things that they'd been
through themselves. I think they probably take comfort in knowing
that even though you seem to have a very blessed life, bad things
happen to you, and it's not your fault.
"It happens to lots of people, and it's not such a taboo. It's just
one of those things, and probably the only positive thing to come
out of something like that is that you can talk to people about
it."
