Britney Spears unveils cancer team-up on special day

Britney Spears marked Las Vegas' inaugural 'Britney Day' by announcing a new cancer charity initiative.

The Toxic hitmaker is currently enjoying a residency at Sin City's Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino, and local officials presented her with a key to the city on Wednesday (05Nov14).

To commemorate the special moment, Spears announced she is joining up with online retailer Zappos to sponsor the Nevada Childhood Cancer Foundation (NCCF).

For every ticket bought for her Britney: Piece of Me shows in Las Vegas, $1 (63p) will be donated to the charity, which supports critically ill children in the region.

Spears says, "I am so proud to join forces with the Nevada Childhood Cancer Foundation and support children and their families in need in my second home of Las Vegas, Nevada."
