Britney Spears sporting bruised face after New Year accident

Britney Spears is sporting a nasty bruise on her face after injuring herself in an accident.

The Toxic star took to Instagram.com on New Year's Day (01Jan16) to post a picture of her facial injury, telling fans she collided with a pole.

"Good morning 2016! Don't mind the little bruise on my forehead... Ran into a pole," she adds in a caption.

She also added pictures of herself celebrating New Year's Eve (31Dec15) with her sons, and going out to dinner with friends and family on New Year's Day (01Jan16).

The injury is not thought to be affecting Britney's show schedule, and she is slated to resume her residency in Las Vegas on Saturday night (02Jan15) as planned.
