Brie Larson celebrated her early morning Golden Globe nomination on Thursday (10Dec15) by posting a flashback photo from the last day of shooting her acclaimed film Room online.

The Trainwreck star's role of Ma in the film earned her a Best Actress nomination, and she took to social media to share her excitement with fans.

Posting a photograph of herself with director Lenny Abrahamson from the last day of shooting Room, Larson added the caption: "Almost exactly a year ago this photo was taken after completing the last scene, on the last day of filming @roomthemovie.

"There were so many emotions: the worry that maybe we screwed it up, the pain of saying goodbye to my newly found family, and the anticipation of knowing it would someday be shared with the world. Hearing the @goldenglobes nominations this morning reminded me of all the hard work and dedication we put into this project.

"As people we must keep trying, evolving and participating in this life without knowing what the future holds. Sometimes it pays off in a very surreal way. I am so filled with love for the many people who helped make this film the beautiful thing that it is. Thank you #HFPA (Hollywood Foreign Press Association) for recognizing this labor of love. And thank you to all the ticket holders who took the time to take in a film we love so much."

Also among those quick to celebrate Golden Globe nods on social media were Gina Rodriguez, Amy Schumer, Lady Gaga, Eddie Redmayne, Alan Cumming and Mark Ruffalo, who wrote: "No way! Best actor Nom for #InfinitelyPolarBear!!! Thank you Hollywood Foreign Press!"

Meanwhile, Alicia Vikander, who was nominated for Best Actress in a Motion Picture, Drama, for The Danish Girl and Best Supporting Actress in a Motion Picture for Ex Machina, added, "I am truly thrilled and grateful to the HFPA for both these wonderful nominations! To be considered amongst all these brilliant actresses and their outstanding performances is such an honor. Working on The Danish Girl and Ex Machina were such gifts in themselves, and for this to happen is all so wonderful. Thank you."

And Leonardo DiCaprio, nominated for Best Actor in a Motion Picture, Drama, for The Revenant wrote: "Thank you to the Hollywood Foreign Press Association. I am incredibly grateful for their nomination, as well as the recognition they have given to this film and to Alejandro (Gonzalez Inarritu)'s vision as its director. Making The Revenant was a true honor for me. I also want to extend congratulations to all nominees this season. Thank you again to the HFPA."

The awards will be handed out in January (16).
