Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie sell New Orleans home
Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have sold their home in New Orleans for $4.9 million .
Angelina shocked Hollywood when she filed for divorce in September (16), citing irreconcilable differences. The couple, who share six children, had been together since 2005, and married in 2014.
And Brad and Angelina have now sold their luxurious three-storey
home in the French Quarter of the Louisiana city, according to
documents filed with the Land Records Division of the Orleans
Parish Civil Clerk of Court's office.
Listing agent Nina Killeen confirmed the sale of the five-bedroom,
1830s-era mansion closed on Friday (28Oct16), saying, "It sold for
a very fair price. It's a good deal for both parties. They're happy
with the outcome."
Brad and Angelina bought the property in 2007 for $3.5 million
after the Ocean’s Eleven actor established the Make It Right
Foundation to fuel development of new housing in the city's Lower
Ninth Ward neighborhood following 2005’s devastating Hurricane
Katrina.
It seems that the New Orleans property may not be the only
Jolie-Pitt home up for sale. The couple has allegedly agreed to
part with Chateau Miraval, their country estate in the south of
France, Us Weekly reports.
The 1,200-acre property, which includes a vineyard, was purchased
by Brad and Angelina for $60 million back in 2012.
The former couple also own a sprawling 5,300-square-foot home in
Los Angeles' Los Feliz neighborhood and an apartment in New York
City's Waldorf Astoria Towers.
