Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie launching wine brand
Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are launching their own brand of wine, named after their private estate in France.
The Hollywood superstars are going into business with winemaker Marc Perrin and his family after being introduced by mutual pals and the creative minds have come up with a new rose called Miraval.
A statement issued by Brad Pitt reads: "We are intimately involved
and quite enthused over the wine project with our friends the
Perrin family."
Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie also helped to design the bottle for
the first Chateau Miraval product.
Marc Perrin tells Bloomberg.com, "Brad and Angelina are very
friendly, nice people and down to earth. They're thinking long
term. If you knew Brad and Angelina, you would see they are in
search of perfection in everything."
Winemaking has become somewhat of a celebrity venture in recent
years - actress Drew Barrymore, director Francis Ford Coppola, and
singers Sir Cliff Richard, Dave Matthews, Fergie and Josh Groban
are among the world's star vintners.
Meanwhile, winemaking isn't Brad Pitt's only creative endeavor
outside filmmaking - the actor has also helped design
energy-efficient homes in New Orleans, Louisiana, where he also has
a home and he has also dabbled in jewelry design.
