Blake Shelton: 'No kids for at least two years'
Country stars Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert have ruled out starting a family for at least another two years - because they're still getting used to life as a married couple.
The singers wed last May (11) and have barely taken a break from their careers to enjoy life as husband and wife, thanks to tour commitments and Shelton's stint as a judge and mentor The Voice.
And he admits having children is still a little way off for the
pair.
He tells UsMagazine.com, "We just talked about that (starting a
family) earlier this week, and I think we both agree that we're a
couple of years away from seriously talking about that.
"It's just that there's a lot of this stuff that's happening right
now, and it only happens once. We want to be able to enjoy this and
focus on our careers so when it is time, we'll be ready to sit
around and watch that happen."
But Shelton has no doubt Lambert, 28, will make a great mother when
the time comes: "If she's anything with an actual human being like
she is with dogs, the kid's gonna be golden!"
