Beyonce snubbed Coldplay song

Beyonce turned Chris Martin down the first time he asked her to duet on a Coldplay track.

The rocker turned to the Halo singer, a close friend, years ago and asked her to join his band in the studio, but she politely declined.

"We were politely shown the door," he said during an appearance on Britain's The Graham Norton Show. "I had a tiny idea for a little song and when I asked her if she wanted to do it she said no."

Beyonce eventually came round and agreed to work with Martin and his bandmates on Hymn For The Weekend last year (15).
