Beyonce named most beautiful woman in the world

Beyonce has been branded the most beautiful woman in the world by People magazine.

The pop superstar is glowing after giving birth to her first child, Blue Ivy, in January (12), and editors at the publication have chosen the new mum to top their annual beauty countdown.

And the star insists motherhood has improved her self-esteem, adding: "I feel more beautiful than I've ever felt because I've given birth.

"I have never felt so connected, never felt like I had such a purpose on this earth."

Beyonce takes the title from Jennifer Lopez, who was handed the honour last year (11).
