Bella Hadid training for 2016 Olympics
Model Bella Hadid is training to compete in an equestrian event at the 2016 Olympic Games.
The 18 year old, sister of fellow catwalk star Gigi Hadid, hopes to represent the U.S. in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil in horseback riding.
She has been working on her skills since she was a youngster and
hopes to be part of the Rio 2016 Summer Olympic Games.
Bella credits her mother, former model Yolanda Foster, with
nurturing her talent.
"My devotion stemmed from my mom's love of horses," she tells
Porter magazine.
"I have been riding since I could walk and the fact that my mom
knew everything about horses really helped my passion grow."
Bella also believes the sport is similar to yoga as it helps clear
the mind, adding, "You know how every model is like, 'I do yoga.'
Well, I find horses have the same effect. You have to put your ego
aside and concentrate on making the horse do the things you want it
to do, and move in the way you want it to move."
