Avril Lavigne and Chad Kroeger keep fans guessing about wedding reports

Fans of Avril Lavigne and Nickelback frontman Chad Kroeger have been left confused about whether the stars have officially wed amid conflicting reports about a ceremony in the South of France.

The Canadian couple was widely reported to have exchanged vows on Saturday (29Jun13), and Talent Resources CEO Mike Heller fuelled the speculation with a telling tweet.

In a post on Twitter.com, he wrote, "I'm in south of France about to see my little Rok (sic) star avril get married... I am so happy to be part of this special celebration."

However, an insider tells People.com the rumours were premature and the wedding has yet to actually take place.

Neither Lavigne or Kroeger has spoken out to confirm whether or not they are now husband and wife, but the Complicated hitmaker, who divorced Sum 41 rocker Deryck Whibley in 2010, previously admitted she wanted an unforgettable celebration for her second trip down the aisle, declaring, "I want to go all out with this wedding."

Kroeger insisted, "She's giving it a real rock 'n' roll edge. Let's just say she's taking the bull by the horns and steering the ship towards what is going to be the most unique wedding that the planet has probably ever seen."
