Christy Dignam walks daughter down the aisle

Cancer-stricken Irish rocker Christy Dignam beamed with pride as he walked his daughter down the aisle on Saturday (29Jun13).

The Aslan star, who was diagnosed with blood cancer in March (13), donned a suit and pink tie to escort his daughter Kiera to the altar at the Our Lady Help of Christians Church in Dublin, where she exchanged vows with her partner Darren Moran.

They arrived at the church in a vintage car, and Kiera told SundayWorld.com, "I'm just so excited to have Dad with me here today. He has been looking forward to this day and it has kept him going during his treatment."

After the ceremony, the newlyweds and their guests headed to the Knightsbrook Hotel in nearby Trim for a reception.
