Ariana Grande: 'I was disgusted with myself over doughnut fiasco'
Pop star Ariana Grande is "disgusted" and "embarrassed" by her behavior after she was filmed licking doughnuts in a California bakery.
The Problem hitmaker caused shockwaves when she was caught on camera stating "I hate America" and mouthing a tray of delicacies in a Wolfee Donuts store in Lake Elsinore.
Earlier this week (beg06Jul15), she issued an apology to fans to
explain her tirade was a comment on America's obesity crisis, and
Grande has now taken to YouTube.com to say sorry to her followers
for what she deems a "poor choice of words".
In the humbling video, entitled "Sorry babes", the singer also owns
up to her bad behavior and vows to change.
She says, "I just want to make a video to apologize again for the
whole doughnut fiasco and craziness because I feel like the apology
I posted, I kind of missed my opportunity to actually sincerely
apologize and express how I was feeling because I was too busy
preaching about my feelings with the food industry, which is not
relative... I feel I could have expressed myself in a different
way... Seeing a video of yourself behaving poorly that you had no
idea was taken is such a rude awakening (sic).
"I was so disgusted with myself. I shoved my face in a pillow and
wanted to disappear, but instead of that I'm going to come forward,
own up to what I did, take responsibility, and say I'm sorry... I
reacted in a way that wasn't necessary to say the least and also
wasn't me at all. I apologize for my poor choice of words and my
behavior. Seeing how ugly it looks when you behave a certain way
makes you never want to behave that way again."
