Canadian rockers Arcade Fire are helping to fund their favorite florist's comeback after her store was gutted by a fire on Monday (22Apr13).
Tamey Lau's Dragon Flowers in Montreal was destroyed by the blaze and now her musician friends are trying to help her rebuild.
Tweeting a link to her GoFundMe.com page on Wednesday (24Apr13),
the band wrote, "Tamey has filled our homes with flowers for years
and is well loved in our neighborhood. Let's help her out!"
Thanks to the group's help, Lau's target of $10,000 (GBP6,250) has
already been reached and over 370 people have made donations.
Thanking donors for their generosity, Lau says, "This kind of
support, makes me... I can stand up again, I can be strong
again."
