Amber Riley takes down online body shamers

Amber Riley has slammed online body shamers in a powerful video on social media.

The former Glee star posted the lengthy rant on Instagram on Friday (20May16), just hours after she underwent dental surgery. She shared a photo of her jaw in a bandage after the grueling operation, which featured the caption, "I'm can't feel my face. I'm still sexy tho (sic). And high. Very very high."

Later that day, Amber shared an emotional video with her fans on the social media site, and captioned the clip, "I got some things I need to get off my chest, and my thighs, and my stomach."

"You know, there are just some things that my sober mind keeps me from sharing. That ends tonight," the actress said in the video. "I've got some things I need to get off my chest.

"Why does me being fat offend so many people? Is it because I'm confident and I'm fly and I'm sexy? Do my thighs offend? Does my stomach offend? Does my big juicy a** offend? Why?! Why?!"

Telling her fans that she felt totally confident with her plus-size figure, the 30-year-old further revealed that no matter what she was called by online trolls, she was in love with her curves.

"Let my big a** live. I let you all live. I love all colors, shapes and sizes," she exclaimed. "So, just so you know, when you come on here and you call me fat, it's not an insult dummy. My a** is fat and the fellas love it and so do I."

Her former Glee co-star Naya Rivera Dorsey shared the video on Twitter, and wrote, "Get it giiiirrrrlll (sic)."

Amber took to Twitter on Saturday (21May16) and confessed that after her lengthy rant on Friday, she had no regrets.

"I'm baaaaack lol (sic) afternoon everyone! What an adventure we went on last night," she joked. "I'm silent Susie today. My mouth is so sore… soooo I'm gonna be quiet. But because I want to, not because I'm scared on anything. I'm gonna go enjoy this shake! I hope you guys have an awesome day."

She later posted a selfie on Instagram, wearing a superhero t-shirt, and reiterated to her fans that she was proud of taking a stance against online body shaming.

"I feel so much better today, I think it's my uncanny ability to laugh at myself and not take myself so seriously," she captioned the shot. "OR maybe it's just my superhero t-shirt... everyone else is serious enough for me, I'm gonna enjoy life and you should too! Hope u had a fantastical day guys."
