Adele's 25 heading to streaming services

Written by . Published: June 25 2016

Adele's record-breaking album 25 will finally be available on Internet streaming services nearly seven months after its release.

The British star's third studio effort hit stores back in November (15), but starting on Friday (24Jun16), fans will be able to listen to 25 on popular platforms such as Spotify, Apple Music, and Tidal.

Until now, only Adele's singles, Hello, Send My Love (To Your New Lover), and When We Were Young have been able to stream online.

Her two previous albums, 2008's 19 and 2011's 21, are currently available on streaming platforms, although the latter was also withheld upon its initial release.

The news marks a change of heart for the multiple Grammy winner, who told Time magazine in December (15) that she felt streaming music was "a bit disposable".

"I know that streaming music is the future, but it’s not the only way to consume music," she explained. "I can’t pledge allegiance to something that I don’t know how I feel about yet."

25 has been a smash hit for Adele, having sold over 19 million copies worldwide.
