Queen frontman Adam Lambert will pay tribute to George Michael at Project Angel Food’s 27th annual Angel Awards in Los Angeles next month (19Aug17).

The singer will perform a selection of the late pop star's hits at the event, where Michael will be named the recipient of the Elizabeth Taylor Humanitarian Award for his support of the charity organization, which provides free meals to the sick.

Michael quietly donated $25,000 (GBP19,400) to Project Angel Food annually from 1993 until his death on Christmas Day (25Dec16).

Ironically, the late Wham! singer was among the stars who joined the members of Queen at the Freddie Mercury Tribute Concert in 1992.
