I'm Olivia Trevina here with Young Hollywood for this massive huge movie star, Zachary Gordon.

How are you?

Good, how are you?

Shouldn't you be shouldn't you be at school or something?

Well, I I will I mean, I'm gonna do school when I get home, but I Okay.

It didn't sound believable the way you paused for a while there.

Okay.

I really wanted to be here and I I was begging my mom and here we are.

Okay.

Just for me cuz you knew I was doing the interview.

How did you get into all this at such a young age?

When I was about four, uh people used to walk up to my mom and say that I should be in commercials or something and I really started getting wind of it and I really thought that I should start in the business.

And my mom said once I learned how to

When you were four?

When I was four, yeah.

Of course, cuz a lot of people start when they're young.

Yeah.

Yeah.

But um she said once I learned how to read, I could maybe go to an acting class or something and she thought she thought the whole thing would blow over and when I was about seven, I went to this drama class and the teacher there submitted a picture of me to uh an audition for a movie.

And you got that movie?

Uh well, I didn't get the movie, but they wrote a part for me.

Wow.

You must have really impressed her.

Diary of a Wimpy Kid, Rodrick Rules, which is the sequel to the first one.

Correct?

Yes.

Um and you're the star, Greg.

What are you doing here?

Obviously, I should pay him mom bucks if I drove you home.

We'd rather walk.

I think the best part of it was all the amazing experiences I had and all the cool people I got to meet and work with.

Now, Devon Bostick plays your brother in it, right?

Yes.

We need to get to know each other.

So, that's why I've come up with a new program that's going to reward you for spending time together.

I'm calling it ha ha ha Mom Bucks.

We have a brotherly relationship on and off set.

We love pulling pranks on each other.

You do.

Can you tell us about some of the Were there a lot of pranks going on set?

Yes, uh one in particular was uh Devon said he was having a box of Oreos sent to the set for him to eat.

And I was like, uh he never really asked for stuff and oh well, whatever.

Okay, maybe I can have one.

And EPK was there that day.

And so he said, "Zack, uh the camera's right here.

I want you to dance for this Oreo cookie."

Instead of dancing, I just grabbed it and ran and I just wanted them to take a video of me just eating the cookie.

When I took a bite, it was filled with toothpaste.

Um in the first film, your character Greg joins so many uh activities.

Are you quite an active uh kid yourself?

Uh yes, I love to play basketball.

Not very well.

Uh well, no.

I somebody was passing the ball to me and uh it jammed my finger really bad and I had to go to the hospital, but I kept playing.

I'm a left-handed dribbler.

And the coach was like, "Just shake it off.

It's fine."

But I didn't think it was anything really serious.

I tried pulling the finger cuz that's how you get rid of a jammed finger, but it really didn't work.

Probably have a word with your uh your coach as well.

Maybe we should do that.

You like to sing as well.

Am I correct?

Yes.

And you like the Beatles as well, which I was very impressed by.

Can we get a little Beatles number?

I'll sing it with you.

What's your favorite?

Uh can't buy me love.

No, no, no, no.

Look at him, see, rising star.

There's nothing this kid can't do.

Um who haven't you worked with that you'd like to work with?

Uh Leonardo DiCaprio, definitely.

Not reaching quite low then.

Not going for the the big names.

Tom Hanks, Johnny Depp, Meryl Streep.

The list goes on.
