Hey, Rachel. How are you?
I'm really good. How are you?
I'm great. This is my best side. What's what's your best side?
Well, we agreed we would do part of the interview. We should just switch spots. No, wait. This is a better view. You look great. Thank you so much for having me here today.
Great to have you here. Which hat? I know you told me so much. Thank you so much for joining me today.
Actually, it wasn't really supposed to be a witch's hat, but it does kind of look like a witch's hat.
It's fantastic and we welcome you into our coven. So, we're talking about the Witches of East End. I'm addicted to this show.
Thank you. It's such a fun, unbelievable group of people to work with. And so, to be telling a story also about the feminine and power and stepping into who you really are. It's been a really wonderful experience.
Witches, I know people are talking about now. Witches are like the new vampires. It's kind of like it it it kind of evolves. And I think this is what I love about it. It is female power. Yes. It seems like to me it would be the best show ever to work on.
It's incredible. I mean, you're working with four, I'm working with three of like the strongest women that I've met, and then we all have very unique voices on the show. And so, to do a show that's set and like everything's amped up because we are witches and we do have power, but it's very grounded in the family.
Do you believe in past lives?
Yes. Yes. Well, I started studying, I went as soon as I got the role, I went truly like straight to the bookstore. I wanted to know everything. And I'm in I'm in Studio City. I'm in this bookstore, and I'm checking out every book on past lives, spirituality, witches, religion. And this guy walks by and he goes, "Are you a witch?" No! And I looked to him and I got to say, "Yes." And it was true.
Did you go running in the other direction?
Yes, he was like, "Okay." But I had a whole stack of um of books on it. So, I brought all of that with me when we were doing the pilot.
You and your sister play by generally to one. Yes. You die at 30, and then you're reborn. If I could just keep going and have another life and never have to be past 30 and just keep going again. That sounds like the best thing ever to me. But we don't have the wis, like that deep wisdom we're evolving to. Forget the wisdom. I want to be young forever. I don't want to be over 30. Would you want that, or would you want to have, because I know on the show, the
But then you have to curse your mother to have like constant childbirth. That's the only like consequence you get. She can handle it. I just want to be young forever.
Would you want that or do you do you appreciate?
Well, my grandma's 94, and she's so wise and so she's very powerful. And like I look to her and she's gorgeous. Like she's this bright essence because she's lived such a full life. So I think I I hope for that.
Can we talk about the hot men on the show?
Yes. Yes, we can. Really hot.
First of all, I know Channing came to set, and Jenna has two love interests on the show. She does. Stunning. She is a really. Not that he has anything to worry about 'cause he's not hard to look at. Did did he watch those scenes or did he
Well, they have a precious new baby, so they're spending most time every second they can with Everly. But yes, she has two love interests on the show. My sister's doing she's doing really well.
Have you had that experience meeting anybody in your life where you know you feel like you might have met them before? You have that connection. Jenna.
Really?
You and Jenna?
Yes.
Really? And you play sisters on the show?
Yes.
Really?
The second Jenna and I met, it was like a true sisterhood. Immediately. We just talked and it we started talking about and we were on the exact same wavelength on so many things about life and the show. And so it was it's really, really wonderful.
So we have a little game for you.
Okay.
It's called I won't scream, but, ah! Like the scary things. The scariest fashion trend ever?
Ever? For me, skinny jeans.
Are you wearing them?
I can't figure them out. I put them on and they're terrifying. Why? Jenna tried to get me to buy a pair, too. My imaginary sister. And I put them on and I'm like, my legs are not made for skinny jeans. I somehow.
That's why you throw the big boots over top. You put a boot on top of them?
Maybe I'll try that. Okay.
Scariest place to be left alone.
The freeway heading between like New Mexico and Austin. At like 3:00 a.m.
Wait, where did you come from? Running out of gas. That would be really scary. Scariest moment of your career.
Probably moving to New York City when I was 17. I didn't fully understand that I should be nervous, but I um I grew up on a mountain in Tennessee. Um and then I got on a plane when I was 17 and moved to New York.
Speaking of New York City, there was like a billboard in Times Square of the Was it a show billboard?
Mm-hm. That was pretty amazing.
Did you see it in person or did you
Not in person, but but I had um a lot of friends that still live in New York Send clips. That was exciting.
They put a lot behind it. I thought maybe there's some witchcraft going on in
Maybe. We we put a spell on Times Square so they would build our our billboards. That was a little teaser.
Well, Rachel, thank you for coming in. This is so lovely.
Thank you so much for having me.
Cameras. You both look really good, ladies.
