I'm joined on the Young Hollywood sofa by Willow Shields. How are you?
I'm doing great. How are you?
Georgie's very excited to see you. I can tell.
She is very ex this is her excited face.
This is her excited face.
Yeah, this is this is as much as you get from Georgie.
It's Primrose from Hunger Games. This is her, Georgie. You've waited all day to meet
This is her. This is really her. This is real.
Um, how are you?
I'm doing good.
You were just telling me how busy you are. It's crazy. So young and so busy.
Yeah. Yes.
And you can't even take a nap because of your hair. That's what you said.
I know. The hair has to stay. This amazing hair. Done by the amazing hairstylist Glenn Nutley. I'm going to give him a shout out. Yes.
Yeah. And your dress. For me. Red, white, and blue. Very serious.
I I wore it. I wore it for you. I knew this was going to happen. I knew this would happen and I just
Flying English flag. Yes. What you think? I did it for you. She's so thoughtful. So thoughtful this girl. Um, moving on to what's very exciting. Hunger Games Catching Fire is coming out on DVD.
Yes. Yes. DVD. So we can watch it again and again and again and again.
As many times as you want.
As many times as we want. You could watch it a million times.
And it's going to be on demand as well, right?
It's going to be going on demand. It's going to be everywhere.
How is that for you? Is it Is it crazy because you're obviously so young and
Yeah, it is crazy. The fan base is massive and we picked up even more fans after the first movie coming out because people who hadn't even read the books saw the movie and then read the books and were like, I want to see the next movie too. So this time around it's even crazier and uh, yeah, it's intense.
Are you getting used to that or is it still just a huge shock?
It's still weird and crazy. I mean, like you go to the premiere the second time and it's even bigger and crazier and you're just like, I don't know what's happening. Crazy, absolutely crazy. It's definitely odd.
And the DVD, it's got some special features, right? It's got deleted scenes.
Yes. Deleted scenes. It has The you've seen. Yes, I've seen the deleted scenes which are really fun and it also has like a documentary with the making of the film and interviews with the director and the producers. So that's really exciting too.
Right. And you were 10 years old, is that right? The first one?
Yeah, when I started. Yeah. 10 years old. Yeah, I'll be like 15 by the time the last one comes out, I think.
Crazy. So how is it growing up with the character? You've kind of grown up together.
Yeah, it's great. I feel like you get to know the character more and more every movie. Right. So you re-read the books, you learn more. So that's really fun. I mean, not a lot of people get to play the same character throughout four movies.
Right. And had you read the Hunger Games books before you got
No. Actually my brother was a huge fan of them and he's 16, so he's older than me and he'd already read them. And I finished the first book right when I got the audition. I had literally finished it and a week later they were like, we want you to audition for Prim and I was like, oh, I recognize that. Yeah. It's really weird.
Exciting. I can do that. I can do that. Definitely. Where? When do you want the audition?
Yes, yes.
Your brother must be extremely proud.
Yeah, he is. Look at that. Yes, definitely. Mhm. Amazing. Yeah.
Um, and the final two have been filmed. They have been filmed? They haven't been filmed?
No, I'm almost done, but they're they're not finished for a little while. So we're filming them back-to-back. So there's still quite a bit left, but I'm almost done. Which is
Okay. And can you tell us everything that happens, please? Please, Willow. That's a lot to ask. I said, please, I'm begging you for my life. I've worn the dress for you. Isn't that enough? Okay, we'll have to wait and watch it. But Catching Fire
Yes.
Is the one that's out now on DVD. Um, what's your favorite part in Catching Fire? The favorite scene or something in Catching Fire?
Um, I really love seeing the arena scenes just because I had no idea what to expect because I just filmed in District 12. Right. So when I went to see the movie, it was like, I was a fan and I was watching and I was like, oh my God, this is so exciting because I had no idea what was going to happen. Right. So that was really fun.
Who's your favorite character? I would say Is it? Is it? Peeta is a very good character. That is true. And Josh is a very good Peeta.
Okay. Okay. I think I don't know, I mean I can't choose a favorite character because I know everyone who plays them really well. So I feel like it'd be it'd be hard. It'd be too hard, but yeah, Josh is pretty cool.
I knew you were going to say that. I just knew you were going to say that. Josh is everyone's favorite. We've got, which is mine now. I'm going to keep this. Okay. Go ahead. I'm not going to let Young Hollywood take it back. This is the DVD. This is it. This is this is Catching Fire right there. Look, look. That's our presentation. Yes. Everyone in the world should buy this.
Yes. Everyone.
Twice.
Twice, yes.
And you get a sneak peek to Divergent.
Yes. Yes. Which you haven't seen. I haven't seen it yet, no. So that's exciting. I mean I read the series, so I guess I'm a fan of many series.
Is it similar to Hunger Games? It is, right? It's a
I mean I wouldn't say similar. I mean the fan base is the fan base is similar. I mean I think there's a lot of you know, there is romance, there's action, there's all of that, but they're not that similar. Obviously not the concept but the fan base.
Right. Are you excited to see that?
Yeah, I'm excited to see it all. Look, it's just an it's just a blockbuster of people, everything. That's what I'll be doing tonight at like 3:00 in the morning.
Where's where's Peeta? There's Peeta. There he is. He's my favorite as well. Is it weird to say that I've got a Peeta poster on my wall? Is that strange?
It's not strange. Hunger Games appeals to all ages.
Right. Exactly. I love it. This is mine. This will be my weekend. It should be your weekend too. When it comes out.
Yes.
What are they going to do? They're going to buy it.
Twice.
Twice. And who's going to buy it twice?
Everyone.
Everyone where?
Everywhere.
Everyone, everywhere. Buy twice. Buy twice. Because it needs more success, like it hasn't got enough. Um, Hunger Games Catching Fire DVD. Thank you for coming in, Willow. Thank you so much. Because you are so busy and uh, you make time and now you're off to sign autographs, aren't you?
Tonight, yes.
Tonight? Look at that, signing autographs. And everyone follow Willow's example and wear a British dress when you sit on this sofa. Thank you.
