About this video

In Netflix's teen dramedy 'Tall Girl', Ava Michelle and Sabrina Carpenter play sisters who couldn't be more different -- at least as far as outward appearances go. Their sisterly bond is strong, though their tastes may differ greatly, and I don't just mean taste in clothes! We invite the two actresses to the Young Hollywood Studio for another hilarious game of Taste That Ish: What's More $ Edition, to see if they can tell the difference in price between two identical snack items just by tasting them! That orange soda might look the same in the glass, but will the flavor give away its price tag? And will Sabrina and Ava be able to sniff it out? Also see them put to the test with popcorn, gummy bears, cereal, and more!

Young Hollywood

(mellow music) Hi, we are at Young Hollywood and I am Ava Michelle and this--

Sabrina Carpenter

I'm Sabrina Carpenter

Young Hollywood

--is Sabrina Carpenter and we are on the cast of Tall Girl. We are playing a game today called Taste That Ish.

Sabrina Carpenter

Taste That Ish

Young Hollywood

And the way that you play the game is we're gonna get--

Sabrina Carpenter

Yes.

Young Hollywood

two things that are the same thing but different brands. One's more expensive than the other brand.

Sabrina Carpenter

Yes, exactly.

Young Hollywood

But they taste the same, so they say. We have to pick the pricier one. Let's go! Round one, let's do this. (upbeat music) (coins clinking) Here we go, okay. Is this, oh, popcorn, okay. Oh actually, this is going to be really hard. This one looks a little more, like, like unnatural yellow and this one looks a little more, like, natural yellow. Or maybe it's just the lights. I mean, I guess we have to taste it. Okay. This tastes like stuff I get at school. Hold on. You know what I mean? Bro, those are the same. No, you're tricking us. You know why? I think this less expensive and that's more expensive.

Sabrina Carpenter

Really? This one looks like an old man. Do you see? (laughter) Do you see the, the dents? What is that though? They're, they're just more like --

Young Hollywood

I don't know. I don't know, this one has more wrinkles. This one has more salt and like, a little stale. I mean, bro, like --

Sabrina Carpenter

We're totally not on the same page here. All right, you chose, you chose this one? Okay, this one's cheaper and this one is more expensive. I'm gonna say--

Young Hollywood

Who's telling us?

Sabrina Carpenter

I'm gonna say this one is more expensive and this one is cheaper. I'm right? Okay. (cash register) Boom

Young Hollywood

See --

Sabrina Carpenter

You know what-- (buzzer) --you gotta go with the flavor not the looks. That's true. Looks can be deceiving. (mellow music) (coins clinking) You know just naturally. Oh no! (groan) Oh shit. Wait, okay, this is going to be so hard. I'm stressed. What if they're just the same thing? What if, we just, okay.

Young Hollywood

That's what I'm saying. I feel like they're tricking us.

Sabrina Carpenter

I think so too, wait. (mumbles) First of all, that girl's crazy. Second of all, this one is cheaper, this one's more expensive. This one's bubblier, which I enjoy. (laughter) This one's cheaper, this one's more expensive. Please tell me I'm right. I think this one tastes like that Izze that I used to get so I'm going to go opposite. (buzzer) I was right? She's right? (cash register) I know, it's because this one tastes like Fanta. There you go. Does this one not? (laughter) See I have, I don't think I've ever had this, actually. This, I don't know, this one just tastes more European.

Young Hollywood

I'm agreeing with you now.

Sabrina Carpenter

You're agreeing with me now? Well you can't change your answer now, sorry. I do, I do get that, one more. One point, one point. It is going to be like ding! One for one. Did you like my sound effect? I think they should use that for all of those, ding! (laughter) (upbeat music) (coins clinking) Ah Practically, oh. Oh, I already know this one just by the look of it.

Young Hollywood

Yeah me too. You can tell in the coloring. You can tell. You can tell by coloring. The natural-ness. The natural color versus the non-natural color. You do. Should we guess without trying? Just kidding. No, let's do it for the viewers. (laughter) I haven't had gummy bears in quite some time. I wonder which one's real?

Sabrina Carpenter

I know. This one, I don't like this flavor. (mumbles) (chewing) (laughter) I can't beat your music video though. So, this one --

Young Hollywood

This one is less expensive and this one is more.

Sabrina Carpenter

Are you sure?

Young Hollywood

Yes! Why are these colors so weird then? What, no these are the real ones.

Sabrina Carpenter

I don't think so.

Young Hollywood

Yes, these are the expensive ones, I'm telling you. (cash register) See, I know this commercial because it's like (buzzer) You did me dirty this time. Okay so this one's more expensive and this one's less expensive This one's natural. I mean, all bright colors I get it. Like, no one wants those colors. You know, exactly. I think Ava got that one. Two to one. (upbeat music) (coins clinking) Oh, are these barbecue chips because this looks yummy. Do you not like barbecue chips?

Sabrina Carpenter

I don't like chips.

Young Hollywood

You don't like chips? I think these, I think this one is. That one looks more expensive. See it's hard when we're judging by looks. First of all, I don't think you should ever judge a book by it's cover. These are really good. But--

Sabrina Carpenter

I was the one that taught you that. (laughter)

Young Hollywood

You know how sometimes, like, cheap food will like, be more pigmented? Like how Doritos are just really really orange? Right. Just unnatural color. But then like the healthy ones that are more expensive are like brown. That's how I feel like this is going to go. They're the same color. I feel like these are more expensive. No, these are more pigmented. I feel like this is going to be cheaper, no. Are you not trying them? I feel like this is more expensive.

Sabrina Carpenter

I don't like chips.

Young Hollywood

I know, these are more expensive. (buzzer) Bro, this game gives me trust issues. What are the brands? Cus like, I know, I don't trust myself anymore. I don't trust anybody. I thought I was a foodie until today. (upbeat music) (coins clinking) That's water bro. (laughter) You're kidding? (laughter) Oh, I actually can. I'm picky on water. I need like, ginger to like, clean my palate, no? Okay, I'm just kidding. This is actually water-icious. (swallows) (laughter) I can't, I can't. (swallows) (laughter) It's freaking water. (laughter) Ugh, I don't like that. I don't like this one as much. This one's cheaper, this one's more expensive. This one's more expensive. (buzzer) (cash register) What, what is this Dasani? This one's like saltier. What are the brands of water? Yes, can we know? Evian and Dasani is the other one (mumbles) See, I like spring water that's my thing. So there you go. I feel cheated. I know. Do you think they do this on purpose, they really-- We are spending-- They put like, Evian in a spring bottle and like sell it to you as like, ugh! This is really stressful now. I know. Now I'm going to rethink everything. Our lives, this is like, are we spending too much money on water? Oh my gosh, I thought for sure I would get the water one. I'm a water maniac. I'm like, I'll go to restaurants and just be like, ah no. (mellow music) (coins clinking) Oh my god, are they bringing us pasta? No, not milk, oh it's cereal. Fun fact, Sabrina is allergic to almonds. I feel sorry. So, these ones look like, weird. I am so mad. These ones have like white flakes on them right? (crunching) These gotta be ones from Trader Joe's. These have to be. They have to be. They are? (cash register) Nothing against Joe he's great and honestly, like, even if his products are cheaper, they are actually really high quality. They're normally really good. Like, I like those, those are good. This milk is great. Milk is so good. I'm really glad we used it but. Wow. Whoa, we suck. We were terrible. Good job? We were really terrible. She got two, I got one. The first, see the first round we're looking good. No they weren't. No they were. We got a couple. You were looking good in the first two rounds. This is true but. Anyways, thanks so much for watching
