Sarah Hyland Takes On Britney Spears and Jack Black

I I saw on your Twitter that you love Top Shop but I'm guessing this is not Top Shop.

This is not Top Shop. No, this is Temporarily.

But it's like do you like mixing the like the high-low or is that like something you're into like the high end with the low end?

I do but I um this is borrowed. I don't necessarily buy the high.

Oh really. What would be like high for you? Is it like the Top Shop like special like special line? You know like the one in the next store. The boutique level.

Boutique level. High for me is uh well I didn't buy it but I was going to but it was given to me as a present but it was a Marc Jacob's bag.

Oh, wow.

But I was going to buy it if it wasn't given to me.

You would have done it anyway.

I was going to do it anyway.

So, Struck by Lightning.

Yeah.

Fantastic. You play kind of like a mean girl?

Yeah.

I saw I heard you describe it as she's a little bitchy.

Yes. Just a little.

Um maybe not just a little. A lot.

A lot.

So working with Chris and he wrote it. Um did you know him prior? Were you friendly prior or how did it sort of come about that you ended up working with him?

Yeah, we were uh we were definitely friendly prior. I of course had seen him at all the award shows and all events and everything. And he was always so sweet and it was always great to see him but um we'd never hung out or anything and then um uh once Struck By Lightning came up I actually I really wanted to be a part of it just because I knew that Chris wrote it and um uh it was just it was such a good script.

Um from @thewishingSpell wants to know what was your favorite part about filming Struck By Lightning?

Well, A, I am obsessed with that Twitter name @thewishingSpell.

I know isn't that great. That's so cool.

Wishing spell is going to be very happy. That you said that. I am jealous. I want that to be my Twitter name. Um my favorite part about filming Struck By Lightning. It was um one of the first times for me where I was able to work with a group of peers my own age. It was it was a lot of fun working with I guess you could say young Hollywood. It was it was a lot of fun and I just had never really experienced that. So

Right.

I had a blast.

Okay. I know in the past you've done you can do like the ear wiggle like Jack Black. We talked to Jack Black.

Oh, yeah.

And he did his whole ear wiggle like eyebrow raising thing. So we wanted to challenge you to a Jack Black face off.

To a Jack Black face off. I love that. So can so what what ear thing does he do?

He can make one ear wiggle.

I can do that too. Jack Black is on. Eyebrows first.

Okay. That's insane. Um an ear. Right ear first.

Oh my gosh. That's insane.

So you said you tweeted that you make Britney Spears faces while watching The X Factor.

I can't help it. It's just like you see it on TV and you just like do it.

I gotta ask you to do the face now. Now that I've asked you to contort every other body part.

Oh my gosh. I love Britney so much. Um but you know like when she when she like comments on anybody she whether it's good or bad. She always looks really concerned. Like like it's like a loving look. It's just kind of like a like you did really good. That was fantastic. Or like I wasn't impressed. I'm sorry.

Oh my gosh. That is insane. Before I let you go I wanted to ask you because you said you're sort of in the middle in the age range in Modern Family.

Yes.

If you could have sort of like anybody because you had so many great guest stars. Maybe somebody that you would love to bring on the show and have a guest.

Actually I think it'd be really fun to have Rebel on. Rebel Wilson. She's so funny.

She's great. She's so funny. And she's in the film too.
