Young Hollywood

So good to have you back.

Jordana Brewster

Thank you.

Young Hollywood

Lots changed since the last time we saw you.

Jordana Brewster

Yes.

Young Hollywood

Congrats.

Jordana Brewster

Thank you.

Young Hollywood

Wow, how's it going?

Jordana Brewster

It's going really well. Yeah, really smoothly so far. He's seven months, so, you know, I think when he starts walking, it'll be a little more crazy.

Young Hollywood

Right. People say that once they start, you know, getting away from you. Yeah. But I saw the most adorable picture you posted. He was wearing sunglasses.

Jordana Brewster

Yeah, little baby aters.

Young Hollywood

Yeah, what Explain baby aters.

Jordana Brewster

They're like aters for babies.

Young Hollywood

And is it supposed to protect their eyes or is it just a look? Or is it supposed to be good for their

Jordana Brewster

No, it's actually, I mean, in Texas I wasn't worried about it, but here, I mean, the sun's just blaring. So yeah, you have to always wear sunscreen and little sunglasses.

Young Hollywood

And he looked so cool. He looked like a little LA boy. You liked it. Did you just recently move? Did I read that you did?

Jordana Brewster

I did.

Young Hollywood

Out of Ellen's house? Ellen's old house?

Jordana Brewster

I did. Yes.

Young Hollywood

Which is adorable that you used to live in Ellen's and you talked about it on her show how you used to get her mail. Which would be juicy. I would love to get her mail.

Jordana Brewster

Well, at some point I I didn't open it, but one I opened accidentally, which is what I talked to her about. Yeah. Yes. Matthew McCona hates Christmas card.

Young Hollywood

Yeah. A pretty good one to open. I'd like to open.

Jordana Brewster

With a family photo.

Young Hollywood

Yeah. I mean, gorgeous. The prettiest family. Prettiest family you could possibly imagine. Yeah. So, talk talk to me a little bit about, you know, sort of like the the difference between Dallas women and LA women. Dallas Now that you've been there for a while.

Jordana Brewster

Well, and in LA, I feel like the pressure's off. I can wear boyfriend jeans and flip-flops and an old tank and just be fine and fit in. Yeah. And then Dallas, the women are very put together. They are, right? Like they will dress like this 24/7. And I'm like, how do you do it? It's kind of, you know, it's commendable, but I don't have the energy or the time, but I'm just like, I'm just gonna rock my uggs and and that's just it's just the southern way.

Young Hollywood

Yeah, it is. Um, because I think you mentioned you said I could never compete with those women and that's that.

Jordana Brewster

No, it's full makeup, full hair, Starbucks, like it's 7:00 a. m.

Young Hollywood

Yeah. Really? At the supermarket. And all that.

Jordana Brewster

Yeah. Oh my gosh. I know.

Young Hollywood

Um, I saw, well, speaking of getting all dressed up and that I saw some really cute pictures that you posted from set this season. One of them was, it was like a a white curtain. It was like a room with like a curtain and you said getting ready for body makeup. And there's only certain shows that you would have to douse your entire body in was it.

Jordana Brewster

It looked like we were on the Dexter set. Um, and the we were we were gonna do a full-on spray because, you know, right before a love scene, you're you're not really wearing much. So you wanna cover everything cuz you never know what they're gonna show.

Young Hollywood

Right. So it's something you have to worry about on Dallas. How are those love scenes going on Dallas?

Jordana Brewster

They're, you know, the love scenes on Dallas are very, I mean, it's everyone always says this, but they're super technical. It's like, okay, you want me to kiss to the left, you kiss to the right. Like, oh, you wanna show a leg going up. I mean, it's so like technical that it's sort of like lovemaking by numbers.

Young Hollywood

But does it sort of, I kinda think that sometimes it might give you tips about how to, like in a real scenario, like what's gonna look more attractive. I guess you shouldn't be thinking about those things.

Jordana Brewster

No. I am. I'm like, maybe it would look better if I was doing something like this. I think the worst part is like watching it because there's such a delay, so you watch it like four months later and you're like, oh, that, you know, that wasn't a good choice, or, you know, what were we doing there? Or you just always wanna look like you're perfect.

Young Hollywood

And what about though, when it's somebody that you've known for a while? Kind of like as a friend. You've hung out on set, and then suddenly, oh, you read in the script, we're gonna have to make out now.

Jordana Brewster

I think it's better for like my husband that I'm making out with people that he's mad and that, you know, are kind of old hat, because it's like because they become like your brother and sister. Like it's just like whatever. Um, although it would be weird to kiss your brother. So they become like your best friend almost, and there's just too much familiarity for it to be that, you know, exciting.

Young Hollywood

And I read something recently, I think it was that people are asking what you keep in your bag, and you basically said you're like a pack rat, which I love because my bag is always stuffed with. We were just talking about. Are you really? Cuz I'm like, why do I have a handkerchief in here? It's 9:00 a. m. What do I need a handkerchief for? You said you had an eyelash bag. Like that's an occupational hazard working on Dallas. Yeah. So what happens? You just like at the end of the day.

Jordana Brewster

I love, well, I love because, you know, you always wanna be glam on Dallas. So sometimes Frida, our makeup artist would be like, you just woke up. And I'm like, I'm glam. And she's like, you were just in a car crash. I'm glam. Like every every incident, I'm like, but we can do beautiful makeup. Um, so I always have this gorgeous. No, it's no one's gonna say, I mean, on Dallas, no one's gonna say, oh, she has too much makeup on for having just, you know, been in a hospital or whatever. Yeah, they don't call me on it. Um, so we do these beautiful strips of like wing out at the end, and but at the end of the day, I always forget to give them back. So I pull them off. I mean, what would be, I unstick them, basically, unglue them.

Young Hollywood

You just rip them off.

Jordana Brewster

I rip them off and then put them. You're not supposed to do that. Cause I think it takes like your eyelashes off. Oh, that may have been why my eyes were irritated all season. I thought it was allergies.

Young Hollywood

Um, no kid hungry. I wanna talk about this charity that you've become involved with, which I think is an amazing, amazing charity. They're awesome. Um. And it's about kids across America who aren't getting proper nutrition and.

Jordana Brewster

Yeah, one in five kids struggles with hunger in America, and I think a lot of people aren't aren't aware of that fact. Um, so No Kid Hungry, uh, goes in and provides, you know, they they provide fun ways of learning about food and nutrition, and they have a campaign right now, um, about breakfast. They're trying to get breakfast to a million kids in the next couple of years. Cuz that's, I mean, that's how you start your day. And if a kid goes to school hungry, like his attention is off, um, his ability to focus in class, his just everything gets affected by that. Um, so they are an awesome organization. I'm very happy to be working about.

Young Hollywood

Oh, yeah. Your blood sugar levels and yeah. Thanks for coming in.

Jordana Brewster

Thank you.

Young Hollywood

Congrats on being a mom. Next time we're gonna do what's in your bag.

Jordana Brewster

We should. Yeah. Cuz mine's pretty wacky.

Young Hollywood

Mine's pretty weird too.

Jordana Brewster

Is it?

Young Hollywood

Yeah. Yeah. We could see which is weirder.

Jordana Brewster

We could, let's do it.
