How Kristen Bell Cried Her Way Out of a Speeding Ticket

Hey everyone, welcome into Young Hollywood. I'm with two very special people on the couch. Kelsey Grammer and Miss Bell. How are you?

I'm good. How are you?

I'm good. It's great to see you guys. Lovely to see you as well. Well, we have a little game if you guys are willing to play. We love to play games here at Young Hollywood. All right, hiding over here. We have a have or have not. This is experience data that we're going to confirm or deny. So, this is Never Have I Ever. Are you ready?

Okay. So, have you ever been on a cruise for filming, other than filming?

Yeah, yeah. Yeah.

Okay, so fun. Do you have a story that you've never told anybody about from the cruise?

It's not going to be interesting to anyone unless we can find Stewart and Ignacio. But when I was 16, my on my mom's honeymoon, my yeah that cruise, Stewart, Ignacio, wherever you are, thank you for lighting the lives and the bodies of two 16 year old girls, because we were on a cruise and there were a bunch of international waiters and my best friend Brooke and I set our sights and we flirted the whole time. And then we had pen pals. It was a lovely lovely accents got you big time.

So funny. Well, speaking of flirting, have you ever flirted or cried your way out of a ticket?

Of course. I'm afraid that's a have not. Okay, so I wish if there were something I could actually do. I had a specific protocol in in high school and college when I would get pulled over, which was rare, but when it happened and I would It happened more than once. Immediately take all of the textbooks from my backseat or my backpack and dump them all over my front because I wanted to create a a scene that looked sympathetic. So I had like textbooks, papers, and oh I'm studying so hard. And then I pump up the I'd find the Christian radio station and I'd pump it so I looked wholesome. And then I'd just be like I'm so sorry. I didn't even and I just and I got out of a couple tickets. I was so busy studying. I was so busy studying. I wasn't even looking at the speed limit. And it worked. Yeah. Yeah.

Well, we had a fun morning because um Seth Rogan was here.

Oh. Yes, he's in the in this movie with us. That's always a party.

Well, I learned he has a mad hate for cruise ships.

We filmed on a cruise ship, which is hell. It's as though someone took hell and set it adrift. Oh. You know what? I saw no evidence of that part of him. Yeah. He was very well behaved. Like to be honest, I mean probably a good husband because this was his wife's movie. He was not in the driver seat. This was his wife, Lauren Miller Rogan, who's very talented. And I've worked with my husband before and it's always appreciated when you know, you can be supportive and he is I think a very supportive. Yeah, he really was.

Well, I know they're both alive and filming's done. So that's really good. They made it through. How was filming? What was the best moments behind the scenes? I mean, you're on a cruise ship. So I would think that alone was pretty cool.

The cruise ship was cool. We were in three different countries, two different states and in the midst of it were sort of stopped by Hurricane Irma. So that was the most dramatic

And what time frame?

August last year? Yeah. Okay, so August September. Yeah. Yeah. So it was about two months and the Hurricane Irma of it all was the was the real Yeah dodging the hurricane. We were hurricane dodging. But it was the best hurricane ever because it was a really fun movie. He made the most out of it. And then the ship was great. Being on the on the ship is fantastic. The cruise part is great.

What was your favorite location?

My favorite was Jamaica. Yeah, I think so too. Yeah, that that that bit at that little hotel. Sort of magical. And there was bio I mean we we there was bioluminescence in the water. So you'd sit on the beach and you could just watch like the algae floating around and it was lightning inside the water. It was really breathtaking.

I love the storyline. Um and being left at the altar I would imagine that would never be funny but you made it funny. There's some laughable moments in the film. Um question though, if you were left at the altar in real life, what would you do? Would you have gone on the honeymoon? Would you have not gone on the honeymoon?

If I went well, I have complex thoughts about this because I don't think I would ever be left at the altar for the pure and simple reason that I am I pride myself on being a really good judge of character and also really getting to know someone and trust them before. So I don't feel like I would ever even agree to marry someone that I felt might be lukewarm about me. Um but if that ever were to happen, I would absolutely take both tickets and go on the honeymoon by myself.

By yourself, you wouldn't invite anybody. You just have the two tickets.

I think it would be a very freeing moment. If I were actually left at the altar I think thank God, you really did me a favor. Yeah. Yeah, true. Showed your true colors. Okay before the big moment.
