You did, that was very nice. You, you're much more eloquent than I am. But yeah, the costumes were pretty incredible. Wish I could wear those every day.

Well, I like that we're seeing, it's it's Romeo and Juliet. Set this up for me a little bit, but it's the expanded universe where we're getting to see characters that were part of the play but we're seeing more in their world.

Exactly. Yeah. You'll, you'll get to meet Romeo and Juliet and see them for a little bit and so we want to introduce that story for everyone just to remind them and refresh but it's also just to set up their relationships to all of these other characters and why they are so important to the story.

I feel like Shonda Rhimes, Shakespeare, it makes total sense. What was it about this project that drew you guys in?

I, I'd just come off doing another period drama, Reign and I wasn't sure I wanted to do another one. But it's hard to dig your heels in and go like, "I'm not doing another period drama. I don't want to be in an awesome show that shoots in Spain wearing beautiful costumes and swinging a sword and riding horses." That sounds terrible. So.

Did you make a list? It was like positives, negatives.

There's no negatives in this list. Literally no negatives. Except for like.

Except I have to wear this costume.

Yeah, you never want to get typecast but I'm actually pretty happy with being typecast as a princess. It's been pretty fun.

That's not bad. There's worse things, right?

Yeah. It's not, it's not hooker number two.

No, luckily. Like, I, you know. There's been a few of those.

Are those the only choices that we have? That was I was typecast as that for forever. Finally.

Yeah. For sure. Finally broke out of it.

No, unfortunately it's true for women it's it's limited. You talked about being able to shoot in Spain. Torrance and I were talking earlier, it's, it's not like a major city in Spain. You guys were actually in a very small city where another show was also filming at some point.

Yes. Another little show you might know of is Game of Thrones. Um We were there first though.

Yeah. Did you guys like stare them down any? Did you guys like walk around in your costumes and just like kinda.

More so follow them around. Just like stalking them like, "Where your show is great."

But because you're a couple hours away from the next major city like, how did you guys pass time on set? How did you get out of those clothes? Cause they look kind of constricting.

Lots of help. Lots and lots of help. I will say the collars are really high. So if I like even look down to check my phone, I've got about six chins that just get all bunched up out of here. It forces you to sort of stand. Yeah. So and I kinda can't breathe a little bit. And we actually had a thing for the sword fight I have in the episode first episode. I couldn't really move in this thing. I'm like, "Guys, this is beautiful tailoring, but I I I think this is going to just like rip right off me the second I lunge." And so we did a lunge test and sure enough they're like, "Just give you your best shot." Is it, give it your best shot? And I did a big old lunge and my pants just went and exploded and they're like, "Okay, well we know what we have to do then." They gusseted them. So they had to stretch. So they were like, "Here are some leggings. Please wear these." Basically, yeah, yeah. The Spandex would have worked a little bit better.

Exactly.

Medallion, Torrance, what can everybody expect from the show and it's just starting?

Lots of drama. Lots of romance. Unfortunately, people backstabbing each other. Some of that. But also it's beautiful, lots of pretty costumes. Lots of more location porn. Uh that's the thing is it's not like we blew the budget on the pilot and then like we're going to a room with cardboard walls to do the rest of it, like everything is on location. There was no studio work in the entire show.

Is that just a green screen? Amazing. I'm sure Shakespeare himself would tune in.
