What did you join the band? Just last night after I

Um, probably not. Not really my thing. Yeah.

He's more of a dating naked, I would say. That's more your thing.

Actually, let's go if you guys were going to go on a reality show, which one? You would be the Bachelor because you're very romantic.

Oh, yeah, obviously. I have a lot of emotions. People want to see so, I guess.

I would do like the Road Rules challenge. All right. Whatever.

And what about you? You said you like reality TV.

I think the yeah, the Naked and Afraid one. That's I would Or you try and survive on an island. Yeah. Naked.

Big Brother might be. He would not do well. Five minutes.

So you said you're the romantic one. A lot of your songs are very romantic. Are you all romantic guys or like how do sort of like four guys do a lot of ballad type things?

We're not romantic together.

Oh, I think to differ.

Okay. Okay. Um, no, I mean, we write from our lives. So we go through a lot. We know each other forever. Yeah. So Um, we know each other's relationship what we've gone through and we've been really close. So, I think we pull from those types of things and I think when you try to make it relatable to everybody else, you write from that place of like love or love interest. Right.

So let's talk about Warrior. Obviously, you know, this was this song when the Warriors won, there was just like a huge like, how did that whole thing come about?

We wrote the song with our producer, um, Alex and when we had it, we knew it was anthemic. Like we knew it was an anthem and song and we, it wasn't intended to be like a sports anthem, but we knew it could be. And so we knew it would fit perfectly with the Warriors and whatever, so we kind of just threw it out there. And I think they just happened to open the email and we're like, this is a really good song. It's like 3,000 emails. Let's click on this one. They're like this is really good.

Well, they found it in, you know, management reached out to them and so we kind of worked out a thing and they thought it was so anthemic that they use it for the whole playoff campaign. And it was really cool and like we ended up being on their commercial that they played throughout the Bay Area. You know, that was really fun. So people were texting us like, hey, just saw you on the TV. Why are you on the TV? And then uh, yeah, so it was really cool. I'm a warrior. I'm a warrior. I'm a warrior. From the shadows of fear into the mountains of glory. I can't be stopped until my last breath. You hear the sound of a warrior.

Did that sort of affect you guys getting called on today's show? Kathy Lee and Hoda, did that sort of come from all of that?

I think it was, yeah, a series of events. Like they heard it in the commercial and like I said, I think the song's anthemic and you know, they happen to win the championship. I'm super glad that they won the championship because we got the exposure that we did. I mean, they couldn't have picked a better time to win, right? To yeah, to choose it.

Win-win for Belmont Lights.

Seriously. We feel like we helped them win with this song.

Yeah, you pumped them up.

I mean, really, you should be getting some major basketball money.

Money. Dollars money. Yeah.

We should get a ring.

Yeah, you got to get a ring. You got to get the whole thing going. So, today's show, how's the fan base since been since you've been on that show?

I think that the fan base has grown. It definitely has grown. Our demographic has grown. So, like our numbers have grown, um, but I think even more importantly our demographic has grown. So, we had we used to have like, you know, uh, I think our main one was maybe like 16 to 24 year old girls. And then now it's gone to like 16 to like 83 year old.

83? Are you serious?

I don't know how old they are, but Who's the oldest person that you got a fan letter from or something that showed up at one of your concerts? I don't know but we have do have like more you see a wider spread of that because of the show and their demographic. And their fans are so awesome and they're supportive and you know, they saw us and they liked it, you know, what we did. And so that that's changed in a good way. Right. Which is good, I think.

So, you new music coming out?

We do. You want to leave? Leave them with me. It doesn't mean that it's going to last forever. I'm going to find a way to find your love. I said I run through the walls around your heart keep me from you. So come on, come on and take me. Just lay me back down.

You guys have known each other forever but writing together and sort of has it evolved, is it sort of always the same, do you have a certain ritual, do you have a certain way of writing music or?

Evolved a little bit, but It's kind of, I mean, we're not the band that likes to sits in a garage and like jams out and figures them out. I think goodness. Yeah. What? We all like We all Chicks don't necessarily like. We all kind of just bring ideas to each other and just and flush it out at that point.

Who's the final vote or are you guys bring equal?

It's a democracy. So we all get the vote. Majority rules. My vote is worth more but we all vote. It's unchanged.

You get two votes? Got it.

Well, yeah, no, the process definitely hasn't changed. But I mean we've been recording for like the last year and a half. Instead of flushing out old ideas and making them new for the album. Like we finished that part and now we're trying to add new stuff, so we're back to the beginning stages of like to start from new concepts and build from there. But I think it's going to release in January. The album it's what we're aiming for. And I think we're going to do a single release this fall. And so that's what we're planning.

Okay. And what's the goal of that beat?

Uh, our song is called Lay Me Back Down. I'm holding on. So just take me and lay me back down. Around and around we go now. Just lay me back down. Around and around we go. And you can take around and around we And we can go lay me back down. Around and around we go.

And then um, but they a sheriff pulled us over for going like 85 and 80 or something. Yeah. And then demanded that we pay him $500. Yeah. If we didn't want to. Or you have a cop? I don't know, yeah. And he made us drive back to this like diner and pay him take out cash a money order. He's like unless or you can go to jail. We're like, we'd rather give you money. He's like, yeah, I thought so.

And we gave him money and then we left and that was that for our first show.
