Young Hollywood

She stars in The Bad Batch, but she's a good egg. Suki Waterhouse is hanging out in the Young Hollywood studio. Welcome. Welcome fresh from Austin.

Suki Waterhouse

I did. I just came from Austin.

Young Hollywood

Where you did all kinds of crazy stuff, like had barbecue.

Suki Waterhouse

Yeah, we were throwing knives and hanging by cars on fire.

Young Hollywood

But from this movie, like I think you can do pretty much anything. You are such a badass in this movie. Ghosts loved to be here. Cost you an arm and a leg. Tell me what drew you to this role. Set the story up for me a little bit.

Suki Waterhouse

I don't know. I was initially drawn to the role when I I got the audition and it said, "Just do not come and audition unless you know that you're gonna be put through a lot of physical endurance." And I was like, "Yes."

Young Hollywood

It looks it looks like, I mean, looks like hell. It looks like hell. So it really was that way and when you were shooting it?

Suki Waterhouse

Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, It looks like physical hell. Yeah. On the first day I was like t-completely tied up.

Young Hollywood

And it looks blazing hot as well. You're like in the middle of what's supposed to be the Texas wasteland. Is that right?

Suki Waterhouse

Yeah. Yeah. We were in the Salton Sea the Salton City.

Young Hollywood

Okay. I nearly said Salt and City. No. Salton City. I mean she's British, everybody. That was terrible. I'm sorry. I'm apologize for British people.

Suki Waterhouse

No, that was really good. You were in the Salton I'll Salt and Sea, which is like

Young Hollywood

Yeah.

Suki Waterhouse

I'm gonna be on. The Salton Sea. On your way to past Palm Springs. It's like in the middle of nowhere. It stinks like fish. It does. There's something wrong with the the sea there. A lot of fish died and um basically there's just dead fish wafting at you all times. It's like about three or four. Cannibal post apocalyptic thriller.

Young Hollywood

Yeah, I don't want it to come across as like a cannibal movie though, cuz it's not just like cannibals all the time. There's there is a little section of that. But I think it's like a fairy tale love story. So I mean I have like one my love interest is Jason Momoa, so I think that's a fairy tale, right?

Young Hollywood

Oh, that is like my dream come true. I was gonna say I'm so jealous because you not only Jason Momoa, Keanu Reeves. You also get to share some screen time with him.

Suki Waterhouse

Yeah. I mean I And like yeah. Yes. He plays the character called The Dream, and me and Lily the director are like, yeah. Lily they asked like, "Why did he get cast as The Dream?" She's like, "Cuz he is The Dream." So, yeah. That makes sense. I mean.

Young Hollywood

Jason or Keanu? I'm like I know. I you'll have to watch the movie to decide which one. But what about for you? What about for Suki?

Suki Waterhouse

Um, oh god. What an awkward question. Uh I I I couldn't say either cuz cuz Jason's my friend Zoe's stepdad, so that's really weird I said that. So I'll say

Young Hollywood

Okay, so you have to go Keanu.

Suki Waterhouse

I'll say Keanu, yeah. He's like the best-looking 50-year-old man.

Young Hollywood

Totally. And he's not anybody's stepdad or anything. I don't I don't think anyway. No one I know, anyway. I mean, whether it's cannibals or zombies that are gonna take over, like what is your game plan now?

Suki Waterhouse

I would love to be able to just like buy like just dig up something and make some kind of like underground shoot thing.

Young Hollywood

Okay. Where you could just take

Suki Waterhouse

Yeah. A bunker. Yeah. A bunker where you could take medical supplies and and you know, all all all your stuff. Um I just don't quite have like the the team to like assemble.

Young Hollywood

What are you talking about? You can get Jason. You can call Jason. You can text Keanu. You can get Jim in here.

Suki Waterhouse

Yeah. Yeah. They're like busy though.

Young Hollywood

Yeah. I mean, if cannibals are coming after us, I think they could make an exception, right?

Suki Waterhouse

Yeah. I just need to find like a fleet of of men who could like pick me up at any time and just like take me there.

Young Hollywood

I'll be tagging along behind you. I've seen I've seen your uh shooting skills from the movie. Suki, thanks for coming by. This is awesome.

Suki Waterhouse

Thanks for having me. Thanks for having me, guys.

Young Hollywood

You're not you're not nearly as terrifying as you are on screen. It's crazy.

Suki Waterhouse

Movie magic. This a normal English girl in the big city.
