What's up, baby? What's up guys? Audrey here at Wondercon hanging out with the stars of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Out of the Shadows. And Megan Fox and Stephen Amel revealed to me what they geek out about. How does being part of this franchise compared to other franchises you've been with?

It's very similar. It's a slightly smaller movie in scope and scale. It requires less of me action wise, so it's technically an easier movie for me to make.

I feel like you've gotten taller since the last time I talked to you. Maybe you were wearing heels. Maybe that was, or maybe your arms got bigger. I don't know.

Well, yeah.

Yeah, no, you you've gotten taller. I'm just going to say that.

I appreciate it.

How much pressure is it to be involved in a franchise like this that has so many fans? My hair was your color three weeks ago. So how stoked are you to be part of a franchise that your kids can enjoy too?

Eventually, when they see it, I'll be I'll be excited about it because I've made a lot of movies that they cannot see. Um so I'll be happy that they can see something and I hope they think it's cool. I don't know.

What was it like putting on uh Casey's hockey mask for the first time?

For the first time?

Yeah, for the first time.

The first time it didn't fit. So it hurt. You know what I mean? So it was painful. It was painful. My buddy, Nick, who's a big Turtles fan, when he saw the mask, he's like, nailed it. So that was all that mattered to me.

You're like, yeah, I'm in pain. Thank you.

Exactly. For 30 years, people have grown up and lived with this this franchise and the canon is so rich and deep that you, you know, you want to make everyone happy and it's there's a lot of pressure in that and it's really hard to do because everyone's got their favorites and, you know, you try to tell the best story and bring the best the characters for that story out of the canon, you can't use everybody. But I think in movie two, we were able to bring a lot of new characters in that we didn't have in movie one.

I know that you're kind of a geek girl, am I right?

I mean, kind of, I guess. Yeah.

What do you geek out about?

Lord of the Rings, mostly. When I'm on set in between takes, cuz I learn my lines really fast. I play Clash Royale.

Wow.

And watch old episodes of Survivor.

Wow. Really? Really? So if this whole acting thing doesn't work out, maybe next season of Survivor?

You know, I would go on Survivor now if they would have me. I swear to God, I would go. I'd leave tomorrow.

You know, I have a two and two and a half year old son now and I actually play with the Ninja Turtle toys with him. And I cuz I I never had the toys as a kid. I I'm older. So now I actually play with these toys with my son and that's something to geek out about. That's so special.

You grew up watching Turtles?

Sure. Absolutely.

You got a favorite one?

Michelangelo. Of course.

Mikey's Mikey's like the kids' favorite. Yeah. Cuz he's a party he's he's. He's a party dude.

Michelangelo was a party dude.

Oh, you know the song?

Sure, of course. You see the rest of it.

No, I don't I don't see that. That one part. Was it easier to step back into being April and portraying such a strong, iconic chick in this universe?

Um I think that's always the goal is you want to play a strong female character. Um if Hollywood allows that to happen, it's that's in their hands and falls in the editing room. Um rooms control, but it's always a good um decision to try and do that.

How did you know that Stephen was right for Casey and would be good with uh Megan's April?

It was interesting because Stephen was really the only person we considered for Casey. Um we've seen his work on the show, obviously and he's very charismatic when you sit down in the room with him and I think that the chemistry between he and Megan is undeniable.

Did you have to work out to do anything special to prep for being Casey?

I had to get back on rollerblades. I hadn't been on rollerblades in a long time.

Is that a tough workout?

It is a tough workout. You know what? It's it's like it's unique. I'll tell you my butt was sore after the first couple of days. You use these weird glute muscles. It's like when you haven't if you if you've ever played squash, right? If you haven't played in a while, you do all

Yeah, it's been a minute since I've played squash.

Well, there's a there's an expression called squash ass. Okay. Sorry, young Hollywood and and and you'll get like pain in your glutes and it was like that with the insides of my legs when I was skating for the first time.

You got rollerblade booty.

Rollerblade inner thigh. Oh, that's where it was. Yeah.
