The Mandalorian's Katee Sackhoff on Bo-Katan's Major Role In Season 3

How long does it take you to usually get ready for car pets like this?

Huh. Like if I was going to do my own hair and makeup and show up on my own, it would take me about 45 minutes, but when someone else does my stuff, it's like two hours. It's too bad.

Do you prefer it? Like someone doing it for you?

No. It's a weird thing, listen, I have a phenomenal team that is has been with me for a long time. But um, but there is something very beautiful about walking out of your house with very minimal makeup and a pair of jeans on and and that is who I am. So, you know, yeah.

Okay, so season three The Mandalorian is out.

Yes.

How do you feel?

I mean, I'm super excited. I I you know, I love that the cat's out of the bag and that Bo is a more important part of this season and I can actually finally talk about it a little bit, which is great. Um, and I'm just excited for people to see where we're going and and where it ends and then where we're subsequently going to go for seasons after this. It's really exciting.

And a lot of the fans talk about how amazing all the characters, like they really put like in every body movement, like their soul pretty much into their character. Is there anything specific that you put into your character that you do when you're recording versus when you're just like hanging out on set?

Oh my gosh. So, I you know, if people know me at all, Katie, I move a lot. I I talk with my hands, my face moves a ton, um and as Bo I have to really, really focus on being still because Bo doesn't move unless she means to. Um, and so I really have to focus. So as soon as they say, "Cut." I'm like, "Ugh, okay, great." Yeah.

Is there any like behind the scenes moments that from season three specifically that you've had that you just will never forget?

Yeah so many. So many. I mean, this was such an amazing season. Um, so many life-changing things happened for myself personally during this season. But um, um, I think that the thing that like is so special about this show is that from the cast and the crew, this is truly just a just a family and a collaboration and and everybody loves what they're doing and we're all there for each other to create the best thing for the fans. Yeah.

And what do you want to see for the episodes that aren't out yet? What are what should we expect? Is there any teasers?

I mean, Just get ready.

Do you have a favorite show that you're watching right now besides The Mandalorian?

Oh my gosh, I watched The Last of Us, but my favorite show right now is Shrinking. Yep. It is amazing. It is one of the best shows on TV. Harrison Ford's amazing. I am just like obsessed.

Well, The Last of Us, obviously, your uh co-star, um, amazing. I was obsessed. I binged it in like two seconds.

Yeah. It's so nice to see his face, right?

Yeah. For once, it's like, "Oh, okay. We see him."

I know. It's exciting. I love it and and he's such a good guy and he deserves everything that's coming to him, so.

If you could combine The Mandalorian with any other show, what show would it be? Like combine it?

Yeah. A collab show. Dang. I don't know, but I'd want to see it like collab with like something like ridiculous that like you wouldn't expect. Like um, I don't know, like Robot Chicken or something weird. Like something like super crazy where like animation, animated characters start coming into the live-action, it would be really crazy. Yeah.
