Welcome to younghollywood. com.
Hey Young Hollywood, I'm Michelle Huma.
We are here at HD Buttercup where they are hosting the Art of Elysium event supporting emerging actors in the creative arts in the community.
Tonight we're celebrating creativity for kids and just like the love of the arts and acting.
Just what other creative outlets do you have?
I love to read and I'm a writer and I I have been shooting pictures my whole life, probably because my dad is an amazing photographer, so it's in my blood, but I think it's wonderful to create something whether it's for people to see or for a friend or something that no one will will ever see.
It's it's just to be creating puts good energy out there.
And how do you like how social media is kind of taken off?
Are you a fan of Twitter or Facebook?
No, and let me say for the record, I don't have a Twitter.
I don't have a Facebook.
I don't have a My space.
I don't have a Friendster.
I don't have any of those things.
Just a computer.
All of you people who are following me on Twitter, not me.
Yeah, odd.
And I find it even stranger that the people who are pretending to be me on Twitter, know that I was a journalism student in college, yet they don't spell check their posts.
And I can spell.
So if you're pretending to be me, spell check.
Young Hollywood did an interview with you a while back and it was about beauty and health and you said With fitness, it's not about being thin and it's really about being healthy.
What's um a way that you can continue to do that to people to stay healthy?
I I think not focusing on that is incredibly important.
If you want a piece of bread, eat it.
If you want to have dessert, eat it.
If you want to have a glass of wine, drink it.
Life is too short.
You're an actor, but what's one of the favorite things that you do that's creative besides acting?
Well, I was a dancer my whole life and I love to dance.
And so either, you know, from going to jazz class or ballet class or just dancing around my house with my husband and my child.
Do you find that happening sometimes?
Oh, that's every day.
Yeah.
Yeah, no, that's that's every night.
It's very entertaining at the Elfman household.
No more dull moment.
We're like, we got the ting-tings on, you know.
My kid loves the ting-tings and uh, we're usually singing in unison running around half naked.
And besides being like an amazing comedic actor, are you actually funny when it comes to telling jokes?
Are you a good joke teller?
Horrible.
Like the worst joke teller ever.
I like I cannot tell a joke.
Cannot.
At all.
I won't.
I just don't because they suck.
I'm terrible at it.
Do you remember, like, are you someone that remembers?
No, I go blank.
Like, I think I remember one joke and it's like one I heard when I was 13 and it's so naughty and that's probably why I remember it because it's so offensive.
Right, right.
And it's like it's not good coming out of a girl's mouth.
It's like it's a joke a guy should tell.
So then when I tell it, not only can I not tell a joke, it offends people.
So, what can you do?
Just give me scripted comedy and I'll make it funny.
What do you love about getting to play an FBI agent?
Is that empowering?
It's incredibly empowering to hold a gun and to like kick butt, you know, and and I like the fact that I work closely with all these cute guys.
It's like pretty I mean, they're pretty cute, let's be honest.
Yes.
So what are some of the coolest moments you've had with Joseph?
He's so intense and so experienced and so, my favorite moments are when I can just kind of pull him aside and ask him about projects that he's done or just where he studied and just act nerd acting stuff.
You know.
He's very like calm and collected but like so passionate about everything he does.
Yeah, he does this thing where he kind of whispers, so you have to lean in and then he like bats his lashes.
He's really cute.
Yeah, those lashes.
Hey Young Hollywood, it's Jenna Elfman.
Get out there, be artistic because there's an artist in every single one of you, I guarantee it.
