You look beautiful in this all black number.
Thank you. Thanks, ma'am.
So, of course, this is us. Congratulations on the show. But it does center around a lot of beautiful relationships. So, I want to know, do you believe in soulmates? And if so, how would you define it?
Ooh. I believe in multiple soulmates. Um, and I don't know how I would define it necessarily, like because I don't I don't believe that there is just one person for all of us. That feels, um, I don't know, it feels like a romanticized fantasy version of real life. But I like that. I don't need to buy into it in a romantic comedy or on television or something.
So Jack and Rebecca then, definitely soulmates, right?
I think they were meant to be, but, you know, um, after Jack tragically passes away, Rebecca does end up finding joy again and finding love again. So I don't think that relationship should be discounted. I do believe in soulmates, but I don't think there's a single person. I think there are a lot of spirits you're kind of connected to through multiple, multiple, multiple layers of life and lives. And, um, I think it's just it's just a recognition of something beyond, you know, that spark that gives us life as opposed to, you know, just the shell that we all wear in daily life. So, for me, it's a little more appreciation of, you know, just life itself and being kind, passing on some positivity.
So, would you say that Jack and Rebecca are soulmates then?
Sure. Yeah, I think so. I do. I do believe in that. Um, I also think that everything's so different. I think that you probably have thousands of soulmates. Um, and it's kind of I mean it's is it ridiculous to think that your soulmate would speak your language and live in your town and go to your high school? So, I don't know about that, but I but I think that maybe everyone has several, you know? I don't know.
Okay, and then Kevin and Sophie, maybe? I I see some people talking on social that they might be soulmates. What do you think?
I think that they are forever connected, and I think that he will always even if she's not in the room, he will he will always seek her advice or or hear her advice and even when she's not in the room, maybe think what would she say or what would she do about that or how would that make her feel? Because I think it's a good barometer as to like how healthy he is in his life. So, in that way, yeah. I do believe in soulmates. I think you can have soulmates as friends and you can have soulmates as lovers and I think it's a wonderful thing. I think it's when two people just connect on a a very deep level and you just know each other and you may have only just met. And it's the most romantic, wonderful thing in the world.
You've made it sound very romantic. So I have to ask your character and Kevin then, soulmates, maybe?
I think they adore each other. I think they really do. It's a genuine love and they want each other to be happy. This show is still it's so special and so therapeutic, three seasons in. So I want to know is there a moment that's really stood out to you the most so far? Oh, man. I don't think there's a single moment. I probably have a lot of different moments with everyone, you know. Um, and thank God Dan Fogelman and our writers are actually so gracious to create settings that I can work with the rest of the cast. Um, you know, for for me, it's just it's watching a lot of talented artists do their work, you know, and it and it goes beyond just the actors in in on the screen, you know, it's the crew, it's the writers, it's the entire team, the studio, the network, everybody getting behind this show that is uh spreading positivity and communication and and it, you know, breaks through walls of division of, you know, everything, everything, age, gender, race, everything. So, it just embraces the human existence. Gosh, every time you see you think you've seen the iconic moment of the of the season, there's then another one. They all kind of blend together. I the whole Vietnam, Kevin going to Vietnam for me was, well, because we actually went to Vietnam. It was so beautiful and the people and the culture were just so welcoming and wonderful and we shot in real life, um, a market where there was the hustle and bustle of the culture and we tried the food and yeah, it was wonderful. People say I cry a lot on the show. It's so, you know, it's it's so sad. It's like, but for every sad thing that you think about, there's a there's a really positive great thing as well. And that's life, right? So there have been a ton. I mean, the Beth and Randall thing that's about ready to happen is amazing. It's incredible. Um, finding out how Jack and Rebecca actually met and all that kind of stuff like that's incredible. That the pilot the the not the pilot but the premiere of this season. That was remarkable. The baby, baby Jack. I mean, it's just been one after the other. I think it's been an amazing season.
