Welcome to Young Hollywood. com.
Hey everyone, it's Michelle Marie here at the premiere of Fox's new show Glee.
Wondering why I'm busting out the loser sign?
You're jocks, you're popular kids, up in the penthouse.
You're slobby, babies.
Just disgraceful.
And where do the Glee kids lie?
Sub-basement.
You play the star quarterback.
Is this anything like who you really are, Cory?
All of us have experienced struggling with doing the right thing or doing, you know, the normal thing.
Are you quitting to join Homo Explosion?
No.
We're doing both.
Cuz you can't win without me and not if you knit.
I know that a lot of people are saying that you guys are like the anti-High School Musical.
How do you feel about, you know, going kind of head-to-head with that and being compared?
High School Musical, it fits inside of a very tidy box, you know, it's it's a very specific tone.
Glee is something of a satire.
It takes apart that tone.
Um, it makes fun of itself.
It does everything with a wink.
Michael stars are a metaphor for me, being a star.
Rachel Berry.
She's star for High School Glee Club, definitely not the coolest kid in school.
But she's proud of who she is, she knows who she is.
She's definitely outspoken.
And uh, you know, she loves Finn.
You guys are creating so much buzz with this show.
What is it about Glee?
Glee.
Oh my God, it's it's funny, it's smart, it's emotional, and then we have these incredible songs.
And I have to say a pretty good-looking cast too.
I'm proud of my people.
I'm like, yeah, we look good, we look good.
You play the ultimate high school cheerleader, most beautiful girl in school.
I mean, come on, that's probably the best character to have.
I mean, I mean, she's so fun 'cause she's so evil.
And she says things that I've definitely heard people say in my life, but you know, I've never heard myself say.
What kind of things do you have to say?
Give us a little sneak peek.
Getting ready for the tranny prom, Rachel.
I call her man hands.
I call her treasure trail, which I didn't even understand what that meant.
You guys definitely have these very, um, I would say they're memorable characters, I would say on the show.
I play Kurt Hummel and he's a fashionble soprano and he wears very, very tight pants.
And he's very into fashion, he's very vogue and he's very high pitched.
Salopine, Mr. Salopine.
Should have been my name, Mr. Salopine.
Artie is kind of the opposite.
He's has no fashion sense.
He tucks his sweaters into his pants with suspenders and a belt.
But he loves Glee Club.
That's why he decided to look really good today with like full on fashion.
I mean, check out the shoes.
Oh, hell to the no.
Look, I'm Beyoncé.
I ain't no Kelly Roland.
Is she going to diva it out after every rehearsal?
Probably.
You don't want to be singing backup.
Uh-uh.
Oh yeah, I mean, I sing background for years.
I'm okay with it but Mercedes is not.
I kissed a girl.
I liked it.
Tina is just like the complete opposite from Jenna, I think.
She is like gothy punk rocker with her blue nails.
Really angry, but soft inside.
I bust the windows out your car.
I love that.
I love that.
And no, it didn't mean my broken heart.
Embrace your inner loser.
Inner loser.
Do it.
