Denise Richards has "Much Love"

Welcome to Younghollywood. com. What's up Young Hollywood? I'm Michelle Hamma. We are here at the Much Love Animal Rescue, where celebrities have come out to show much love for their pets. We're here with Denise Richards and when I think of animal lovers in Hollywood, you're the first person that comes to mind. Yes, because, yeah, because you've done so much for the community. What do you, what drew you to animals as a kid?

I don't know, ever since I was little, I've always been a huge animal lover. Any dog that was a stray I always brought home. I love this organization. They truly save animals and I've learned so much from through them with a lot of different things. And I come to this event every year. I do a lot of stuff with them. I've actually rescued a lot of dogs, had them in my homes myself. And uh, they do so much. So to be able to be here tonight and raise awareness, it's really incredible.

So, how many total pets do you have at this time?

I can't even count. When people come to my house, they always say, God, there's a lot of life here. And I like that. I like a full, chaotic house.

And what's your favorite thing to do in the summer with your animals?

They follow us all through the house. Yeah. Which is funny. We have a huge backyard and they just follow us room to room. It's like a train. It really is.

I know that you do a lot of Twitter and a lot of TwiTpics. And I've seen some really cute little pictures of your dogs.

Oh, if I see the dogs, my dogs sleeping or doing something, I'll quickly grab my iPhone and take a quick photo and, I know people might think, what is she doing posting this on Twitter? But I for the dog lovers out there, I think they appreciate it.

What's the craziest pet name that you've had?

Well, all our dogs have human names. We've got George, Scarlett, Tina, Hank, Rosie and Daisy. So, all our dogs have human names.

Yeah, they're all right. They're easier than people.

Do you remember what your first pet was?

Uh, yeah, a German Shepherd.

And what what he, his, her?

Uh, boy.

Okay. And what was the hamster's name?

I don't remember.

Thank you. Then I'm here with Jerry O'Connell. Now you have, I think been able to hang out with every dog you've seen since you've come in here.

They're so cute. I'm kinda happy my wife is not here because my we'd be going home with a car full of dogs.

Now, do you guys still have two? I think I've seen pictures with you Butter and Taco?

Yes, we we have those two. Taco's our rescue. And now we have two uh two more rescue cats. Oh. Smitty and Captain. Don't even ask me about the names. I'm too embarrassed to even talk about. And then little Charlie and Dolly. Yes. They're a happy family. They're our rescues as well. All the dogs are house broken, the kids are not, sadly.

And how's the the diaper duty going for you?

A lot of a lot of number two.

So what's the funniest thing one of your children has done since they've been born?

They fought over a like a toy purse. It was their first fight. You know, because we have twins, we have a lot of like two of everything. Um, I gave the one who didn't have one the same exact toy and it was like a sort of realization that, oh my gosh, we have the same thing. I don't have to We have two of everything. They clocked it and then I left them alone for a minute. And uh they were fighting over one of them again.
