Welcome to Young Hollywood. Hey, I'm Jill Wilderman with Young Hollywood. We're here for the screening of Brooklyn Rules. We're going to talk mob movies with some of the stars and the executive producer.
Uh, well, this movie, for me, it's very special. Uh, hence the title, Brooklyn Rules. I was born and raised in the actual neighborhood that we shot in. If I didn't get this movie, I I would have quit and went back home because there's no way I couldn't be in this movie. I am that guy.
Here with the very talented Terence Winter, writer and Sopranos, executive producer and writer of Brooklyn Rules.
I mean, we was riding over here tonight in the car with Chris, saying, "Do you realize where we're going? We are in a limousine, going to a movie premiere, and a movie that we're both involved in that's about us." It it will never get better than that. Terence Winter, you're good. You're good.
Why do you think America is obsessed with mob stories?
You know, I kind of equate it almost to being a celebrity. You know, they have a ton of money, they wear flashy clothes, they have beautiful women around them, they have crazy cars. It's it's pretty much like being a celebrity.
Do you have a favorite mob movie?
No, I tell you, this ain't mob. Okay, mob. I really like Goodfellas.
Goodfellas. Why do you say Goodfellas?
Come on. Everyone's going to say Goodfellas, right? It has to be Goodfellas.
Well, we just got back from the screening of Brooklyn Rules, but as always, Young Hollywood's going to take you inside the afterparty. So let's go check it out. Now, you had some castmates come out in support tonight. How did that feel? Are you guys really good buddies off the set?
We are really good buddies and I'll take this chance to thank Adrian and Kevin Conley, all those guys, Rex, all those guys who showed up. I think they enjoyed it. Even though Kevin Conley's a little mad cuz I take a cheap shot at Long Island, which is his hometown in the movie. So, Kevin Conley's a little upset with me right now, but uh
Here with Kevin Conley. Tell us about the film.
Oh, it's a great, it's a fantastic film. Uh uh great writing, great acting. Uh my boy Jerry Ferrara, to support him. Uh I really enjoyed it. Really, really, really enjoyed it, yeah.
You guys are all good buddies, right? From Entourage. Do you hang out outside of the show?
Absolutely. We're here tonight. We're here tonight, hanging out. And Jerry doesn't usually go out, but because it's his premiere, he has no choice. He's been forced out.
What are we going to do to celebrate the rest of the night?
Go back in there and uh yeah, you know what I mean.
What's yeah?
Uh, we're going to play chess and uh talk politics.
Young Hollywood is here.
