50 Cent at House of Hype

Hey guys, we're hanging out at Sundance with the one and only Mr. 50 Cent, who has a very exciting announcement.

Today, we're here for a major announcement in Sundance.

Tell us a little bit about this. 50 Cent: Well, I'm starting my own film production company. 50 Cent: I'm excited about it. 50 Cent: I actually wanted to be able to creatively control some of the projects. 50 Cent: So, from production company standpoint, it's perfect for that. 50 Cent: And I'll be producing films that I'm not actually in. 50 Cent: I don't want people to think that this production company is solely on finding the right project for me.

Music or the movies, what is the direction you want to focus in or you still want to do both? 50 Cent: You know, I still have a passion for the music. 50 Cent: I'm conditioned for it. 50 Cent: So, it takes a lot less effort for me to create great material. 50 Cent: Film projects I challenge myself creatively. 50 Cent: I'm preparing for them.

Is this your first time at the Sundance Film Festival? 50 Cent: Absolutely. 50 Cent: I've been to Cannes Festival two times. 50 Cent: And it's a lot different. 50 Cent: Yeah. 50 Cent: This one's a lot colder. 50 Cent: I got a chance to put together performance there while I'm out here. 50 Cent: Also a dinner. 50 Cent: I have a lot of my friends hopping.

I'm constantly getting criticized for not really having a great deal of street cred, so I thought I'd take the opportunity, since I'm sitting with the master of cool, to get some tips. 50 Cent: Hang out with me.

When? 50 Cent: This festival, we're going to run around and I'm telling you, your street credibility is going to be at an all-time high.

Do you like tea or coffee? 50 Cent: Tea.

Favorite kind of tea?

I'm British, I have to know, I have to ask everyone. 50 Cent: Green tea.

Green tea? 50 Cent: Very healthy. 50 Cent: I I drink it a lot because you know, I need to stay authentic for the performance.
