Welcome to Young Hollywood. com.

Lauren Gottlieb

Hey Young Hollywood, I'm Lauren Gottlieb and I'm here backstage at the So You Think You Can Dance show. I'm going to be talking to the judges and the eliminees. I see 'em over there. But we're going to find out the truth.

Young Hollywood

How great do you think it was to have for for Billy to have the week that he had? It's ironic, isn't it? You do your best work and you're off the show. But I'm looking forward to the finale now because definitely that homeless character that Billy played was a fabulous routine, wasn't it, Stacey Tookie?

Guest

They're gonna need what they've always needed, which is a great performance and charisma. reaching out. A lot of people have said that um, this young girls are voting and they're not voting for the girls. Um, and the people saying that, well pick the phone up and you vote. I know. Everyone can't just win you show all the time. You pick the phone, if you think Lauren's the one to vote for, vote for her. There was a an upsurge of 68% in voting. Between the first person and the second person was 1. 17 of a percent. Nothing. So there is nobody guaranteed to win this show. No, no.

Young Hollywood

Am I gonna be standing next to you right now and do I have to go up?

Guest

I know, same, ridiculous, right? I'm so sorry. I'm well, I'm five 5'9 with no shoes. So then you add the shoes and then you get the palms on, yeah. And then I'm 6 ft.

Young Hollywood

Um, well they're beautiful though. Can we get a shot of those? They're kind of. Those are great. And your jewelry? You like the vintage, don't you?

Guest

I got everything from everywhere. Some are vintage, some are mulberry, some are kind of things that I've caught on my travels.

Young Hollywood

How hard is it to lose people? It's I know it's hard for you.

Guest

It's hard. I mean I hate Thursdays. Officially, Thursday shouldn't exist. It's horrifying. Wednesday, Friday. Bye-bye Thursday. Always. And to see Jose, you know, a street dancer. No training. Like, honestly no training. He could be exceptionally proud of himself. And I think that's the whole idea of the show. You know, yes, there can only be one winner and yes, we have to lose people every week. But if you can turn around and you can go, actually, I've had the most amazing life experience. And and you will have these friendships forever. Yeah. And you will remember all these times and you will come in and out of the studio and and and you will tell your kids and your grandkids about those moments in your life.

Young Hollywood

What are you doing for National Dance Day?

Guest

I am going down to the music center, the Dorthy Chandler Pavilion in the Plaza there and I'm going to be with Mia and uh, Tabitha and Napoleon and a bunch of people. Um, possibly Dancing With the Stars people. Um, and we're going to do the Tab and Napoleon piece and then start pulling people up to compete.

Young Hollywood

I tried learning it in my house the other day. And I was like, that's hard on my knee. You were kicking things, weren't you?

Guest

I wasn't kicking things. No, but then I was like, oh.

Young Hollywood

All right. You got the stank face in it. All right. You got the stank face in it.

Guest

Yeah. I can do that.

Young Hollywood

Yeah, you You got it. Did you come here watching knowing kind of what you want to say?

Guest

You start to know the personalities and the strength of their dancing, but I also, I judge a lot of dance competitions in ballroom and you feel like you want to give that dancer a chance to just be the best version of themselves that night. So you have a little bit in the back of your mind. And then you just want to wait and see what's going to be happening and just kind of go with the flow a little bit more. Yeah.

Young Hollywood

I don't think anyone really knows how it feels when they say your name, you're in the bottom. You have to dance for your life. Like how does it feel?

Guest

I mean, the last couple of weeks it's felt actually good because it's kind of like I get a chance to like showcase my style. You know, so it kind of like pumps me up, you know? So today was the same feeling. It was like, okay, I'm just got I got to pull a few more tricks out the bag, you know. And I just really felt like, you know, I just want to go out with a bang. Yeah.

Young Hollywood

I think like out of everyone, you guys come out there for your solos and you're you. Like I see you cheesing it before you go. Always cheesing it. You're always serious, you're ready to do your thing. Just to have that night, you dance in your own style, you did contemporary. And the feedback you got, how how did it feel?

Guest

It was nice to kind of go out on a high note. Um, as opposed to kind of like get voted off because like you're they think you're horrible or something like at least it wasn't like a negative experience for me. I feel like I finally grew to a point and then it was kind of like, all right.

Young Hollywood

You never took classes before this, did you?

Guest

No. Not at all. Official street. Yeah. Straight from the streets. You you. But I'm not a hoodlum. No, hoodlum. Just just to declare. I'm not no. Official street dancer.
