What's up, guys? Young Hollywood has, oops, sorry. I like that outtake. Wait, are we dancing? You were dancing already. Yeah, this is Young Hollywood for young. This, you know what? Yeah, we're Young Hollywood, we're young. Alexis Ren, model, social media star, Dancing with the Stars contestant.
Yeah. Girl rocket. Ah, it's been so amazing and so challenging and like crazy experiences already and it's only week four. And I'm just like, okay, it's like every day, I'm just breathe, just remember to breathe and then you can get through the day.
Now, just the fact that we did that intro the way we did and I'm going to keep it. Just shows your personality and how like
Oh, thank you.
like excited and happy you are all the time and that is what I think has gotten you everywhere you've been.
Yeah, I mean it's definitely just like keeping that authenticity that I've had in my heart, you know, from my mom and from being grounded with my family. It's just staying true to myself that I've tried to do on camera, off camera. So, yeah.
Model first, social media star first, the Which came first, the chicken or the egg? I don't know how it works.
Yeah. It was uh, it came out of nowhere. I was homeschooled. Right. So, I was trying to find a way to connect with people. And at the time before social media was social media, there was still like Facebook and MySpace and Tumblr. And so I was kind of on those platforms for a while building, you know, not so much a fan base, but more of like a following that I communicated with and like were friends with and I could talk to when I just feel like I didn't have anyone else to talk to. So, as the years went on, modeling came into my life and so I was working full-time, moved out at 16. Social media was like at the time, people weren't really posting behind the scenes of like that photo shoot kind of a vibe and like just, you know, from the models perception and I started doing that really young. And I was able to like um, just create it in a way that felt relatable and not so much just like, oh you're like too this to I can't relate to you. From there, I've just been going down this road of just doing what I love, creating, meeting good people. Those are my goals right now.
You love your dance partner Alan.
Yeah, he's amazing.
Yeah, he's amazing. I think we should go crash the studio right now.
Go. Let's do it. Let's go crash it. Let's go annoy him. Let's go. Oh. Okay. Oops. Hi.
There he is. There's the man. Oh, double hug, double hug. Oh.
Nice to see you again.
Nice to see you again. I'm competing with a partner which I've never done before. Again, one, two, three, five, six. One more time. One, two, three, five, six beautiful.
Yes. So, from Marai to Alexis, you're in great company with all these beautiful women.
I know, I know. I'm a lucky guy.
You are a lucky guy. How do you teach one, teach the other? Is it the same or they
you know everyone comes with their own story and it's a lot of fun. It's a new experience every time. I'm really excited.
So, you use the word strength. Tell me some of this lady's strengths.
She's really hard working. And you know, she doesn't really give up.
So, what do you love about the process?
See what I'm capable of doing. Like I had no idea I was capable of learning this quickly, being so on top of it and like sometimes I get frustrated, but I overcome it every time. So, I'm just believing in myself a little bit more.
And the biggest surprise?
I guess it'd just be the performance itself. That was really, it was the first time, you know, I was like I don't know if I can do this. I feel like every time it's just so exciting and so nerve-wracking that it feels special every time. And it's a scary moment up there.
Especially for someone who hasn't done it many times before. I'm really just trying to be as encouraging as possible. Yell out the dance steps as they're happening. But Alexis, she works so hard during the week that knock on wood. For her show days, she feels prepared.
Okay, well, I want to see what you guys are up to. I I'm actually prepared. I'm I'm
What? You're going to dance?
I'm dancing.
You're dancing.
I'm dancing.
Well, we're going to show you. We're doing a little tango this week.
Oh, you're going to Okay.
We'll show you. It's hard. It's
Okay. But we're going to go that.
Yeah, super. It's It's It's It's hard. It's really hard because it's so together. It's so compact that if you make a mistake, it like like he'll step on my feet, you know, it's like it's pretty.
How long did it take you to learn that?
That took like 30 minutes.
Wow. Do you have one dance step that will take like not 30 minutes?
One, yeah, let's do this.
Okay.
We're going to do this, ready? Okay. So simple but effective. Just the head. Ready? And
Ah, you're ready for it.
So the strong frame. So you're going to put your you're going to go like this with your hand. And it's going to go under.
Can you add a kick to it? Make me work a little bit. We don't have to find.
Go out and kick. When your hand goes down here. Go in his armpit. Yeah. Yeah, perfect. You feel that connection. I got. And then we're going to go look, look, and then we're going to step on this foot and kick that foot. Okay? All right. Ready? And
Look, look, step, kick. Oh, I screwed it up. It was so easy.
It's okay. And. Step, kick. Oh. Beautiful. We're dancing. Let's see if that's a. Yeah. Try one more time, ready? And. Step, kick.
I didn't point my toe.
You didn't point your toe.
I'll point.
One more time, ready? And. Step, point. Yeah. You got it. We got a tango. You killed it. You professional.
Listen, you guys are the pros. Let's see. Let's see. One more time. And. One, two, and three. Five. Seven. And hit. Hit, hit. Nice. And we'll do a step kick. Step. Bam.
