Meet the cast of "Big Time Rush"

What's up Young Hollywood? It's Michelle Marie. I am here with the boys of Big Time Rush.

Oh, cool, I guess.

He's speechless, he doesn't even know what to say. But um, it's been really cool for us. We just got done with the live performance and it went great and we've been having a lot of fun together. So, um, yeah, there's plenty of more to come.

Now, I know that the casting process was pretty intense. There was like about 1500 people there. You guys, you made it. That's awesome.

It took about, uh, two years. It's crazy how the whole process goes 'cause they made you sing. They made you dance. They made you sing again. They made you dance again. And then, then read. I mean, I was up for like three different characters at one point. It was just I, I was kinda like, where do I fit in? And then it's it's unreal to think that two years later I'm sitting here at the Music Box, we just performed two songs and we have an album coming out and it's it's nuts.

You have not only an album coming out, so you guys are a band, and you also have a show. So it's a little bit different.

Yeah, actually, so we've been pushing the show mostly. We really wanted to establish a good show and, you know, knock on Carlos's leg. We have established a good show.

Okay, guys, drive and get dressed. It's time to hit the studio.

Woah! What does the great Gustavo Rock have in store for us today? Harmonies? Break him down some new dance moves. A big Hollywood party to get us some red carpet exposure.

Now, we're becoming a band in the show but in real life, we're actually recording our album. We're releasing a few songs at a time. And pretty soon we're going to start really pushing for some radio songs. We're recording a few right now that I think may end up being hits, and we're hoping for that.

So you're the lucky one, right? You get a, we get to knock on your on your leg.

I, I guess.

What about him?

No, it wasn't a joke. It's not funny at all. They all got me back though. A, they put two of them in my little dressing room, and it was horrible. B, someone kept rearranging my furniture. Every day I would come in and it would be rearranged.

That's a good one.

Now, I know there's a little relationship problem with your manager. Your manager's a little, a little hard to deal with.

I don't like the school.

Quiet. You love it. Because by studying here, you won't miss out on rehearsal time and recording sessions. Instead of lunch break, the School of Rock has harmony breaks. And every field trip is the dance studio down the hall.

Can you tell us more about that relationship?

Well, I think he's a bigger kid than we are. So that, that makes out for some of the trouble and

Just look at him.

Exactly. We give him a hard time and and he gives us a hard time back and it's kind of fun, you know, you to establish that connection in the very beginning episode. But I think it changes as it comes down the line. Me and uh Gustavo, it's Stephen Glickman plays him. But uh Gustavo and me, my character really butt heads all the time. 'Cause I'm always the one who's all about being fair and making sure the boys are treated nicely and he's always yelling and like causing problems. So I'm always the one who's like, no, we don't want to change. We just want to be ourselves.

Now the creator, I know, was inspired by the show The Monkees back in the day. So did you guys get a chance to get to know, you know, what that was like, the Monkees? Did you watch a lot of episodes before you guys started filming?

Well, no, all of us definitely have gone on YouTube and looked up episodes since we got the, got the job. And, you know, there's been a couple episodes where we've seen little clips of The Monkees and then seen some gags we're doing and we're like, all right, huge resemblance, huge resemblance. But by no means we're trying to copy it. But I think with him it was just a matter of respect like we definitely give them the credit for being an amazing show and kind of do a similar thing with our own twist on it.

One more random one. Late night snack, what is your favorite late night snack?

Oh, Ben & Jerry's chocolate chip cookies. I gotta get those chocolate chip cookies.

Uh, my favorite, like, I end up liking to cook like a really hearty meal at 11 o'clock at night.

How do you stay so skinny?

Uh, you know, I gotta keep my girlish figure somehow.

Um, mine are weird. Uh, Gushers or olives.

I always turn to cereal. I just I can eat an entire box of cereal late night, man. Love it.
