David Cook and David Archuleta Hit the Road

Welcome to Younghollywood. com. It's Joe Wilderman for Young Hollywood and TV Guide Online. We're outside Stage 5 where the Idol contestants are inside, they're about to kick off the Idol tour and we're here for the rehearsals.

I'm stoked about it, get to hang out with nine of my friends and experience the country.

Yeah, I finally win a race.

It's gonna get serious here.

We think we're gonna be in the hall.

See you guys really don't have fun together. This summer's gonna be no fun.

We're gonna have a lot of fun this summer, it's gonna be great.

Getting ready to go on tour. Are you excited? Are you ready for this?

We're into the music, and that's what this is about. It's kind of beyond the competition phase anymore. That stress is gone. So it's just about connecting with your fans. This is what most of us came into this competition to do. So that we could go on tour one day and be able to go from place to place to place just rocking crowds.

Hey, what's looking forward to? Like is there a city that you really are excited about or just being together? Home, right? I'm sure you said that going home.

Yeah, I'm sure it's gonna be home for sure but but I mean, I'm really excited about every city, you know, every city is just a whole new world every time.

When I got to do the like the smelly band touring in bands before all this, I really enjoyed the idea. I think it's really romantic to wake up in a different city every day. I think that's gonna be good for my soul. I'm excited to go all over the country. We're excited to get to the south. I miss country ham. So I can't wait to get to Hardee's and get some country ham biscuits with grape jelly. I will be pulling the tour bus outside Hardees. I'm very excited.

You gotta Portland and Texas because I lived in both areas. Who's gonna be the prankster on the tour bus this summer?

Michael Johns. He's over there. He just grew a mustache.

Oh, why is he saying that? So annoying. I keep I'm so serious and you know, He says he's very, he's very kept to himself.

There's a girl tour bus and a boy tour bus. What's gonna be messier? I mean, girls can be messy too, and I know cuz I've lived with some of them. But my personal space, I like to keep clean. We've talked to the previous seasons. It's always the girl's bus. Surprisingly enough, it's always the girls. Cuz you guys have all your stuff, you're like, Oh, I got to put my my things over here. I have to put my makeup over there. And then I have 50,000 dresses.

For sure. Shaki says that the the girls is just gonna be a mess. Are you serious? I think it is. I've roomed with every one of those girls and we're all really, really good.

The girls bus will be messier. Simply for the fact because y'all have more stuff. There's limited room. It's easier when y'all have a big hotel room with all your stuff.

I've heard about some stuff about you guys' rooms.

Our rooms have been a disaster, but it's okay.

Smells?

Oh, no. My room does not smell. Smells like roses.

Things that shouldn't be on the floor that are on the floor. Like what?
