What Chris Paul Learned From Getting Slimed at Kids' Choice Sports Awards

Yo, what up, young Hollywood? We are in front of a big slime tank because we are at the Kid Choice Sports Awards. We're going to go one-on-one with the host, CP3 Chris Paul. The man, CP3. Chris, how are you feeling?

I'm well, and yourself?

Doing good. I've been excited for this interview. I was watching the trailers. The 10-year-old me was juiced. Right. What are you looking forward to?

Man, I'm I'm so excited about this. Since I was a kid, I watched Nickelodeon. Uh I've seen all the slime that you could possibly see. I used to watch Double Dare all day every day. So, now to be a part of this is such an honor and a privilege.

Fun fact, I actually was part of Double Dare one. Is that right? Played with the cast of all that. Is that right? Winner. Champion right here. This is the first time you've been called a rookie in a long time. Hosting your first ever awards show. What's this moment like?

Man, it's been pretty nerve-wracking to tell you the truth, because uh you don't want to mess up. You want to make sure you get over your lines. You don't want to fumble your words. But I think the energy in here'll be great. Uh I'll feed off the crowd and everyone in here and I I'll figure it out.

Chris, you obviously have great style. As you can see right now, there's going to be a lot of slime, so I can imagine that's going to entail a lot of wardrobe outfits.

Yeah, yeah. All the slime in here, you have to be very uh selective with your outfits. Okay. You know, because that slime doesn't come out of your clothes as well as you think it would. Trust me, we we put together a plan.

Well, what kind of describe one outfit that you got on.

Well, one of the outfits, I'll probably look something like an angel.

Kids' Choice Sports, it's all about the kids. How is this align with your vision of who Chris Paul is on and off the court?

This is an unbelievable opportunity. Once in a lifetime chance. You know, when I first got the offer and the opportunity, I immediately consulted with my kids. Okay. You know, I've had an opportunity to go to a number of awards shows over the years and you know, there's nothing like this where kids really get to choose who they want to win and who they want to see. So, uh there's nothing like being here.

If you're going to slime anybody, who do you want to slime most?

Probably my kids. You know what I mean? My kids watch TV all the time. They see this. They see that. And they think it's just easy to get slimed. I wish they could get slimed.

I know you've been slimed. What's that What does that feel like?

It's different. It's different. It's different. But the biggest thing that you learn in being around here is that it's an honor and a privilege to be slimed. You know, it's not like you lose and you get slimed. When you win in a contest, you get slimed because it's a it's an honor.

Lastly, if you wanted to get slimed, is a gold slime on your mind?

The gold slime is the ultimate honor. You know, it's the ultimate honor. I had an opportunity to see Phelps get the gold slime. I saw Kobe get the gold slime, and you know, Friday night, Danica Patrick, as well deserving of the gold slime.
