Young Hollywood

Welcome to Young Hollywood.

Young Hollywood

Hey guys, I'm Tatiana Diana, at Tony Hawk's Stand Up For Skate Parks Benefit and just a little bit of rain is not stopping anybody from showing support.

Young Hollywood

This guy needs no introduction.

Young Hollywood

This is this is amazing.

Young Hollywood

The ninth annual event.

Young Hollywood

Tell us about it.

Tony Hawk Skateboards

Well, it's uh Skate Parks benefits my foundation, where we do uh public skate parks in low-income areas and it's gotten bigger and better each year.

Tony Hawk Skateboards

I mean this year Jane's Addiction is playing, which is huge.

Tony Hawk Skateboards

We have skate demo, we have lots of auction items and we're going to have a specific fund drive for a Long Beach skate park as well.

Young Hollywood

And it's raining and that has not stopped anybody from coming out today and supporting.

Young Hollywood

Does that say a lot to you?

Tony Hawk Skateboards

I was panicked last night hearing about the weather and the possibilities but uh it looks like it's it's not pouring so everyone's toughing it out and I really think we're going to get a break and we're gonna be able to skate.

Young Hollywood

First I want to start off by thanking you for giving me this umbrella.

Young Hollywood

That was very gentlemanly of you.

Tony Hawk Skateboards

Oh, that's not all I plan to give you.

Young Hollywood

Oh.

Tony Hawk Skateboards

I'm kidding.

Tony Hawk Skateboards

I swear, I'm joking.

Young Hollywood

Oh.

Young Hollywood

So you're standing up for skate parks today.

Guest

Yes, yes, yes.

Guest

When I was growing up uh in Southern California I was a huge skateboarder.

Guest

Back in those days we didn't really have a whole lot of skate parks.

Guest

I'd have to travel long distance or I'd have to break into abandoned homes and find you know swimming pools that were empty.

Guest

to be a part of this organization and and help raise money to create skate parks for kids to maybe get out of the streets and find something active and physical to do.

Guest

It's a it's an honor and I'm a huge fan of Tony's as well.

Guest

So to play for him is uh even more of an honor.

Young Hollywood

So, how'd you get involved with this organization?

Young Hollywood

What brings you out here today?

Guest

Skateboarding and in that whole sport is extremely creative.

Guest

It's a great thing for kids to get off the couch and to be active and what he's doing and where he's reaching different communities that don't have the funding to put up a skateboard park.

Guest

I think really it's a great thing that he's doing and it's worth supporting.

Young Hollywood

Have you ever skated before?

Guest

I used to skate when I was a kid not so much anymore, yeah.

Guest

We have uh a nice flat place where we skate in the house and the kids are always running around there.

Guest

They're a huge fan of his.

Young Hollywood

You have the cutest little boys I must say.

Guest

Thanks.

Guest

They're all right.

Guest

They're all right.

Young Hollywood
