Maxim Hoops Contest at Treasure Island

Hi I'm Jill Wilderman with Young Hollywood. We're here at Treasure Island for the Maxim Extreme Hoops Contest sponsored by the 2008 Dodge Avenger. Where one lucky contestant is going to shoot for a million dollars.

Well tonight's event somebody is going to get a chance to uh probably win a car. Take a shot, a $1 million shot. Dodge is putting it up, Maxim is putting it up. We're right here at the wonderful TI. Usually there's all kind of pirates run around, and then people are loading up the dock, it's going to be a bunch of fun.

First of all, I have to comment on your bling. It's very Treasure Island of you.

Thank you very much. I feel sort of like a naughty pirate.

Naughty pirate here at the Maxim party. What's going on tonight?

Uh well tonight there's um it's Maxim Party in affiliation with um all the NBA All Star Weekend. There's an extreme hoops competition, which I am 5'1" so, let's be honest, not gonna probably win, but would love to try. So, I'm just here having fun. Second guest: For a lot of athletes to come on and enjoy themselves. Um a lot of NBA guys are out here doing what they're doing throwing a lot of parties, and we're just out here as football players having as much fun as we can.

Well, you gave it your best shot. Second guest: Yeah.

How you feeling?

Again, like I told John, I fell short. I uh that was a lot longer than I thought it was going to be. Had it gone in on the bounce, I would've been interested to see what they were going to say about that. But, you know, we tried.

How much fun is Vegas this weekend?

It is absolutely exciting. There's so many people out here, so much traffic, a lot of energy. It's just a great place to be right now.

Well, things are heating up here in Las Vegas, but we gotta head to the next party. Second guest: Yeah, boy.

So, do you think it's true what they say that what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas? Second guest: Well, I I you know, I'm a practitioner of the word. I mean if that's what they say, then I'm gonna go with the word they say. I believe that. Because I've been here a couple of times and I always go back saying oh yeah I took in some shows and uh kinda hung around and gambled a little bit, you know, and we keep it like that. So yeah.

I love Young Hollywood. I'm like middle-aged Hollywood, but that's all that's all good.

You having fun?

I'm having an amazing time. I mean Vegas, this is we're in Las Vegas. If you can't have a good time in Las Vegas, you just can't have a good time. Second guest: I'm all. You're right. He's been partying. Look at those eyes.
