Never been to the Grammy's, never been to BET, so for me this is it and I think of course, I think this would be the best because, you know, you got the best athletes in the world here in one spot.

Hi, up to Keil Spikes for Young Hollywood here at the Esby's 2012. I'm here with one of my all-time favorites, Cedric Ceballos, Prince Amukamara, AG Spanos, the Gronkowski brothers, BJ Ubers, Matt Kemp. How are you doing today, Matt?

I'm doing good, man. How are you doing?

Okay, I know you're presenting tonight, but what's your nominee for an award? I see that coming soon. Big baseball fan. Yes. What would be your dance to pick up the winning trophy?

Uh for me, I'm not I'm not that big of a dancer, man. I just I I'm I'm just side to side. I'm a side to side type guy. I'm too big to be dancing. We too big to be dancing. We can't be really doing stuff like that, man. So, I just kinda I just kinda get my award, be humble and uh, you know, go on about my business.

What inspires you today to break out the pink? Because I broke mine out today.

Right, being young Hollywood, you know, I gotta go with my youngster. Uh when she started playing basketball, she wanted to rock the pink shoes because of the breast cancer awareness. So, I just go ahead and rock it with her.

What is your favorite moment of the Esby's if you as you watched it over the past 20 years? This is my first Esby, so I'm excited to be here in person, but watching as a fan on TV, I love Will Farrell when he got up and accepted on behalf of Tiger Woods. I thought that that was the best moment ever. Was amongst so many great athletes out here. If you had the opportunity to put together your triathlon team, what three would it be regardless of any sport?

It would be Kobe Bryant, one of them. Peyton Manning, one of them. Man, I'm gonna have to go with LeBron too.

Take LeBron. I got it. This is easy, Lance Armstrong. Oh, Phelps is a good one. You need you need a, yeah, you need a swimmer. Oh, any sport. So, obviously, Michael Phelps would do the swimming portion. No question. Lance Armstrong to do the cycling portion. And then to do the running portion. Man, Usain Bolt, maybe? Yeah, why not? What's your fresh take on the Esby's compared to any other award show? BET Awards, you got the Grammy's and everything. What are you thinking?

I mean, for me, this is only the really only the big award show I ever come to, so uh, this is this is my big awards. I I've never been to the Grammy's, never been to BET, so for me, this is it and I think, of course, I think this would be the best because, you know, you got the best athletes in the world here in one spot and uh, you don't really get to see that anywhere else.

Well, first we got the top, we got the best athletes, so if the Grammy's or the Esby's or or Soul Train Music Awards, it don't matter. If y'all wanna get into a wrestling match or basketball match, football match, we can beat y'all. We gotcha. You gotcha.

Well, I mean, I think this is one of the best sports awards ever. I mean, I I think just the fact that you have all these great athletes coming together for one one great event. Having every sport together. I mean, NFL, NBA, baseball, swimming, skiing, whatever it is. It's just an honor to see all these other athletes, meeting other athletes other than the football players. So, it's cool to get everyone in all in one. Very great great award show. So, a lot of a lot of um special moments that happen in sports and we're just celebrating it all to tonight.

I mean, you can come out here and see who can really dress, who really can't. Yeah, yeah. I mean, we take it lightheartedly. I mean, we all have seen us grimy, sweaty, stanky, fighting on the field, fighting on the court. This is a way for us to clean up and have some fun. I mean, just overall, man, you know, I mean, I remember my first time I came out here, you know, I I met a lot of great people and I met a, you know, a lot of great friends. You know, it's uh, you know, basketball, football, soccer. Everybody all has their own little lives and their lifestyles and where they train, but to come here, man, and have some fun 'cause it's Comedy Central in that building, man, every time. And uh, you know, get some good performances and and also walk the red carpet. All the movie stars and actors and the Grammy's and the Oscar's and all, they understand this. We we just showing you our side.

To Keil, you killed it on the carpet, but I need to know because you've asked everybody else, what is your fresh take on the Esby's?

It's great to be here, the reason why because this is the only time to where you can have world world-class athletes all up under one roof from everything. But when you can get greatness in a room like that, how can you not take something away from it and be inspired?
