Tell me what you're bringing to the season.

What I'm bringing to the season?

What are you bringing?

I'm bringing a little bit of attitude and uh hopefully a lot of energy and uh of course a lot of fun to come out and watch.

So besides BP, what do you do before a game to get things going?

Um I usually go sneak inside in the back room and uh hook up my iPad and uh watch a little bit of the tutors.

So we're here with the man in charge of the Dodgers.

Now, what are you going to bring to the team this season?

What am I going to bring?

What our players are going to bring, really.

We're just trying to bring an attitude that guys play hard and give you their best every night.

So when, you know, people come to the games and they see us play, they want to see a team that's playing hard every day.

When you uh think of your boys, uh what what comes to mind?

Uh, I just look, kids.

You know, a bunch of little kids, really.

That's what they are.

You know, I don't care how old they are.

They're still playing a game and they know it and really we just asked them to again, get back to to give us your best effort every night.

Have a lot of fun but uh, you know, people come to see a win, uh, and they want to see your best effort every night.

Tommy Lasorda, give me your number one Dodger moment.

My number one was the moment that I managed the Dodgers my first time.

Uh that was uh in 1977.

That was the great moment for me and I did it for 20 years.

What do we got in store for Dodger season this year?

Well, we think we got a good ball club.

If they play up to their capabilities, we got a good chance of winning.

Do you ever uh put back your uniform on?

Yeah, oh yeah, I wore it at spring training.

Yeah.

Oh yeah.

It feels good to put it back on.

How do you even drive in traffic?

Oh, we managed.

You know, up ten, no problem.

Did you bring this automobile on the freeway?

Yeah, that's what I said.

Yeah, we came all the way.

So now you guys are here for the Toyota Grand Prix in Long Beach.

What's the actual fastest you've ever gone?

Oh, myself, well over 250 actually on a closed track, so.

Yeah, when you're done with a race, what give me a word to describe that feeling?

Then you're looking for a beer.

What's the ride been like? Second guest: It's been uh very wild. Second guest: Wonderful, wonderful ride. Second guest: So, excited to be here. Second guest: Singing the national anthem at the Dodger Dodger Stadium. Second guest: That's uh say I can't even talk. Second guest: It's a little big for me, so. Second guest: I know Andre Ethier got me tongue tied before.

It's it's kind of surreal, right? Second guest: Oh yes, you know how it goes, yeah.

So you're from Mississippi.

Now you're here in LA.

Big difference.

Tell me uh tell me some of the biggest differences between uh Mississippi and out here in California. Second guest: Well, the big difference between most of the world and California is this is the place where dreams are created and sent out into the world.

And your dream came true.

Tell me what that whole experience was like. Second guest: Yeah, my dream did come true right here in Hollywood. Second guest: And uh yeah, and uh it's been like a dream. Second guest: All the way through. Second guest: It's an out of body experience. Second guest: Anything you can think of that doesn't feel like you're right there. Second guest: That's where I'm at, you know. Second guest: Even right now. Second guest: I'm not here. Second guest: Somewhere else I think.
