If you are obsessed with all things K-Pop, or just the Korean pop culture scene in general, there's no better place to be (outside of Korea itself) than KCON! The annual international convention makes its way to Los Angeles and with it some of the biggest acts in K-Pop right now, including SEVENTEEN! Young Hollywood catches up with all thirteen members (and three sub-units) of SVT -- S.Coups, Jeonghan, Joshua, Jun, Hoshi, Wonwoo, Woozi, DK, Mingyu, The8, Vernon, Seungkwan, and Dino -- backstage at KCON to chat about their highly-anticipated follow-up to their EP 'You Make My Day', entitled 'You Made My Dawn'! That was amazing! Yeah. Well, I'm so excited to hang out with you guys. We are hanging out backstage at KCON in LA. And you guys just headlined KCON in New York just a few months ago in the summer. Um, you're here in LA. What's it been like just seeing all your US fans? Are you excited? I know the energy's all crazy. Really? Can you give any sneak peeks of what's to come tonight?
Yeah, our fans who like know our latest music video would know which song we will perform tonight. So yeah.
Speaking of your latest music video hit, one of my personal favorites. I've literally been having it on repeat non-stop. It's so there's so much energy with your music and your choreography, and you guys are so in sync with each other. Um, you know, what is it about the sound of SEVENTEEN? Like, how would you describe it overall and how you guys stand out in the K-pop world? You guys are known as, you know, the most self-producing idols. You do a lot of the stuff, everything yourself. You're made up of three different sub-units. So let's do a little shout out to each of the sub-units. Who can raise your hand if you're part of the hip-hop unit? All right, vocal unit. I was gonna say should we do a little move for each one. And lastly, performance. Yes! Yes! What is it about just your fans that you love so much? Cause I know that they love you guys. Is there anything you just want to say about your fans and how much you love them? your latest album, You Make My Dawn, was sort of a continuation of You Make My Day. Super successful. So congratulations on all the success. You guys have been, you guys have been doing this for a long time and I know you guys work so hard.
