Thank you. I mean, you have your glasses on. Yeah. Awesome. So obviously, we know you from High School Musical, but we're here for a different reason. You want to tell us why we're here?

Yes, I'm finally putting an album out, uh, which some of you know already, but it's called The Resolution, and I split it into three EPs.

So what made you decide to take that leap? It's kind of scary and it's a big move. What made you decide it was time for you to do this?

I've wanted to take this leap for a long time, but I don't think I was really ready, you know, like I finally feel like I'm a place that as a writer and a singer where I have something to say and an album I'm really proud of and I'm just excited for everybody to hear it.

So who would you say, can we compare your album to anybody else or is it just a Drew Seely situation?

The best thing I could compare it to would be Maroon 5 meets Justin Timberlake or Michael Jackson. Kind of funk, kind of rock.

So who influenced you growing up musically that you think inspired this album as well?

Definitely MJ. Which uh, you know, who I actually got to meet four years ago.

Oh, wow.

During the High School Musical tour, which was a trip.

Yeah, how'd you meet him?

He was not seeing Kenny Ortega, you know, who worked with him a lot of times uh brought him backstage and, you know, he met the whole cast and shook everybody's hand and he had his kids with him. There's just no words, you know, we just kind of stood there in awe and

So how do you balance all this? I know you like yesterday you were taping Glory Days till 3:30 in the morning and then you're in the studio. How do you balance all that?

I'm running on two hours of sleep and a lot of coffee right now.

So High School Musical was a really big deal. Do you feel like there's a lot of pressure behind you with this album?

No, this album is nothing like the stuff I did for High School Musical and not because I'm ashamed of that. Like it was a great launching pad for me, a starting place.

So we're gonna go inside. I'm really excited to see you do your thing.

I think I'll play the title track or the first track off the album, which I haven't played for anybody yet, so you guys get to hear it first.

So what is the first single that's gonna be dropped?

Uh, the first single is Into the Fire.

Which uh, you can hear right now online for free. Uh, you can download it, stream it. I've got it on my site. And uh, I'm gonna play a little bit of talk back for you, which is the album opener.

Tell me what the song's about. What is this song that we're gonna hear? What inspired the song?

It's the first song on the album. Basically, the album is a concept album. It's got uh characters and storyline and every song leads into the next one. So the album opens with me and a girl who is clearly out of my league.

And who's out of your league? Nobody.

Basically, you know, this girl has, you know, quite the mouth on her. Something about her just keeps you coming back and uh and is intriguing. So it's about me trying to fight this desire to be with this girl that I know is bad news, but I don't care.

A little synth action, a little bit of, you know, guitars, whole lot of drums. We had some great players. We did a live band for the whole album.

I feel like I can hear this in a club. For sure.

That's what I was going for. So, thanks for saying that. I love it.

You get behind the scenes like with the What was it?

Yeah. I wrote everything on the album and uh, you know, I was basically A&R'd the album. I picked all the songs that I wanted and the order and everything. So That's part one. Part one, part two and part three will be coming, uh, you know, towards the end of the year and in January, and then I'll be touring, you know, if I'm not shooting Glory Days, you know, as many shows as I can get in before uh, you know, we head back.
